This was a date night option, and after driving down hurstmere street towards Milford my eyes settled in on the new sign Angora, Black and Orange in colour scheme… orange being one of my favourite colors I just was eager to find out what Angora was all about. Nestled in amongst a few different ethnic food options, I had a quick glance of the menu which included such amazing dishes as shish Kebab, Moussaka and Borek; I needed to look no further I had found my place. Beautifully decorated inside with stylish vases, paintings and decorations all from the owners homeland of Turkey. The husband and wife team who operate this lovely restaurant are kind and friendly and you will feel very welcome from the moment you are greeted at the door. There was quite a few seated in when we arrived and although busy the service was top notch, we never felt for a second that we were not being attended too. We ordered entrees first the bread and dips and the Halloumi which were delicious. And afterwards for the mains we decided on Hunkar Bengendi; eye fillet(this is amazing) and the Kofte; which was tasty and just the right portion. Accompanied by Black Russians and some Turkish Bottled beer, this was a more than perfect decision to have a meal in a place that really took us by surprise. A real cultural food experience, Impressed very much.
