I will have to agree with Dan that Ramon is a charming host, and we wanted for nothing! I would have given La Cocina de Ramon a 5 except for 2 things… the pancakes were anything but light and fluffy and as an adult I wasn’t in need of the happy face on top and chocolate syrup drizzled around my plate, and the hashbrowns were a McDonalds looking formed patty. What happened with the real thing! The Chiliqueles with pollo were some of the best I’ve eaten, not too soggy, not too crisp, but just right. The interior is so nice, clean and refreshing. Lots of local art on the walls which is for sale. Each room is a vibrant color and very«fiesta» looking. Can’t wait to come back and try and Mango Avocado Shrimp Salad Recommend by Ramon himself. To Find Ramon’s from Benito Jerez, turn right on Calle Simon, right at the big Ace hardware sign. Go down this road, past Ace and turn right at Floreria Garzon… there was a large sandwich sign on the corner for Ramon’s so you can’t miss it. Probably 10 or 12 blocks from Benito Jerez. Not much to look at from the outside but the inside is very nice.
