Fundado en 2013.

Ivan Angeles, owner, conceived Cenzontle, after crossing through the front gate of what it used to be, years ago his house. Picked in, and the vision came. A place with heart and soul was on its way, aiming to create a place where people can relax and enjoy a meal and drinks, with a friendly and laid back service, just like Tulum itself. Inspired in a grand mothers house, we try to replicate the feeling of being home in a lush jungle setting. Baroque meets A Tribe Called Quest, Greta Garbo meets the caribbean. Living ten years in Tulum, Ivan has understood the energy that vibrates in this magical caribbean town, and the old school feeling of it, can be felt in its heart warming ambiance.

Traveller, restauranteur, has lived in over 5 countries and 9 different cities. Helped his restaurant education in places like the Botswana Butchery in Queenstown, or the Michelin Star restaurant F12 in Stockholm. New flavors and surprising combinations are his passion.
