Found this restaurant on Unilocal(thanks Unilocalers!) & went for dinner on a Sunday night. After being in Los Cabos for the week, we were both looking forward to an alternative to tacos. I was surprised it was located off the main square as I would have thought it would be tucked away in a corner of the town. Both foreigners & locals were here the night we visited. I had the spinach ravioli(with a portion large enough for lunch the following day) & my husband had the lasagna. Delicious food, great service; we’d both come again!

Found this place through a local recommendation. Was a big hit and wish I found it sooner. Long wait but plenty to do in the neighborhood while waiting. Ordered 2 pizzas and 2 pastas for 5 of us along with a coupe salads. Not much to say except everyone was happy as the food was solid. Warm bread with damn good butter was a pleasant start to the meal. Owner walked around and was very attentive.

We really like this place. The service is very spotty sometimes good and sometime almost non existent. Really the only complaint is that they serve over salted food. But if you ask specifically each time for low salt they are happy to oblige.

Gold stars for charm and ambiance — and service was stellar. Subtle upscale mariachis float around. Good food. Spicy tortellini was good — pasta carbonara was merely okay — warm. Steak was served warm… Very attractive.

My husband and I were in Cabo for our one year anniversary, we both love Italian food. Our taxi was taking us to another Italian restaurant, walking distance from La Dolce, but this place caught my husband’s attention and we decided to walk back to this place. We loved it… five stars. It will be a restaurant I’ll never forget for the rest of my life. We were ecstatic. We ordered so many things and our bill was 130 U.S. DOLLARS. It was the best experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. The staff is amazing and make this place complete.

Our server was nice but too busy to give us decent service. The bread was served in the middle of our meal & was rubbery. My Gorgonzola tortellini was cold and tasted bland w/consistency far from al dente — just below average tonight

Hands down the best Italian restaurant in San Jose! My family and I went in on a Sunday night, thank goodness we made a reservation because it was packed! The hostess warmly greeted us and sat us at a table next to the brick pizza oven. The menu is replete with Italian classics and pizzas. The server brought out warm bread and butter for the table accompanied with olive oil and vinegar(in true Italian style). We ordered the Jean Pierre pizza –outstanding! the calamari-fresh and light, it’s not deep fried. And finally, my friend ordered the spaghetti bolognese which I had to have a bit of and it was very light yet tasty. This restaurant seemed to have locals as well as tourists. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting San Jose! Overall one of the best dining experiences of our trip!

What a cute restaurant right off of town square. Loved the outdoor seating area, quaint and comfortable. The atmosphere is perfect for a date or a family dinner. Our concierge at our resort told us to go here. So happy we did. The service was a tad slow. But who cares? We are on vacation. We had pasta, salad and pizza. All were great! The prices were totally reasonable. I would definitely recommend!

Really great Italian place next to the resort. Pasta and pizza were great. They bring you bread and oil just like regular Italian places. The food is very fresh and I highly recommend getting any of the pizzas. The portion are pretty large as well.

If you ever want a break from Mexican fare or seafood(hell nah. nevar), then La Dolce should be at the top of your list. It’s fresh Italian cuisine located near the plaza. There’s indoor seating directly as you enter, but if you can live without blasting A/C, I rec you continue through the entrance all the way to the back where you’ll find a romantic patio. The menu offers something for everyone — pizza, pasta, soups, salad — and since I can never do without seafood, a few options straight from the ocean. The calamari is a must! And it pairs well with the focaccia service, so don’t fill up on bread until you get your plate of calamari. The garlic sauce is far better than the bread’s butter. Again, I never get sick of seafood, so I ordered the seafood pasta — clams, fish, calamari, scallops — all in a savory tomato sauce. And it tasted even better the next morning. Wine if offered by the bottle; service was tops; bug spray provided. And if it’s your birthday, they do this crazy lights/music production, which is totally out of place for this charming, serene spot, but it’s fun to watch patrons really get excited… I’ll return.

This was one of those times we went someplace because of great reviews & were truly happy we did. Who thought we would go to an italian restaurant in Mexico & be happy to have gone? We shared a Caesar salad — we were craving vegetables — & a pizza. The salad was very good, the pizza was pretty good, too, & the service was incredible. You must get a flaming coffee drink as it’s a show in itself. They make it tableside & it is awesome! If you want a truly enjoyable dining experience, check this place out for sure.

Ate at La Dolce our last night in cabo(7÷14÷2015) and really enjoyed the food. We ordered the following: BRUSCHETTA FETTUCCINEGORGONZOLA E FUNGHI FETTUCCINEALLAROMANA MARGHERITAPIZZA All were really good. I really liked my pasta(the one with gorgonzola), but LOVED my bf’s pasta(fettuccine allla romana). Loved the flavor the bacon brought to his pasta. My BF really liked his pasta, but LOVED my best friend’s pizza… needless to say, we were all eating off of each others plates! lol I had a class of pino noir, which I really enjoyed. The only reason I gave this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 is because the atmosphere wasn’t as inviting as I would have liked. As soon as our waiter came to take our plates to the back to box up our leftovers, a woman came by and took our left over bread, butter, balsalmic & oil off the table… didn’t even ask if were were finished. She didn’t say a word to us or make eye contact with anyone. Just cleared the table and walked off. The waiter was friendly enough I suppose, I just prefer a different type of service when going to restaurants. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, but the service was average.

Art Walk on Thursday Night and it starts raining torrentially! We spot an intimate looking place across from the white iron gazebo, beckoning us. Delicious on so many levels. Everyone so happy with their pasta. Yes! They have the wines we want. Every appetizer hit the mark. A darling little shop that shares the space and sells art and clothing/jewellery pieces made by Women in different parts of Mexico. The open patio is exquisitely beautiful and I would love to return and try it. Don’t skip dessert. The cake with Nutella was perfect for sharing.

Great atmosphere. Open patio with beautiful lighting, live music that comes around to your table, fantastic wood fire pizza. Pleasant surprise we found while tequila tasting in Central San Jose. Bring bug spray for nights downtown. There was very friendly staff who gave us mosquito spray though.

My friends and I came here twice out of our week stay. This place is delicious and the best Italian in Cabo. The waiters are nice, friendly and attentive. You get a home like feel when you come to la dulce :) First night a young boy was playing a guitar in the patio, very nice and soothing. Second night we were looking forward to hear him play but he wasn’t there… Yummiest dishes: linguine pesto, linguine calamari and cheese filled ravioli with some type of pesto cream sauce, and the pizza! It’s all so good!

As good as it gets in Cabo for Italian. This was our 3rd time here over last couple of years and this time it was a top notch service and food. Not certain if it was due to us ordering $ 175 Brunello but it really was good. Even their martinis are better than most steak houses in Orange County CA. We will always come back when in Cabo. Recommend their pizzas, Caprese salad and most pasta dishes(they will always cater to you special needs on ingredients just ask).

I nice change of pace for Cabo. Good solid Italian food. The bread and butter excellent. The pizza is solidly good and I would recommend the lasagna, not to mention the Cesar Salad. Also know that gelato is not gelato. It’s more super cheap groceries store box ice cream.

We stumbled upon this place by accident when we were looking for a place for dinner on our final night in Cabo and were pleasantly surprised! Originally we wanted to go to the shrimp place literally right across the street, but when it looked more like a lunch or quick and casual dinner place, we opted for this more romantic looking italian restaurant. We just beat the crowd and were able to snag a table for two on the patio. The owner greater us at the front and ensured we were happy with our table. The menu is lengthy, but a couple things caught our eyes. The fettuccini alla romana — chicken, bacon, and mushrooms in a cream sauce?! YES please! Also, the pizza jean pierre sounded amazing! My bf and I ordered both and shared. We also got a couple glasses of wine(they were out of my Wente chardonnay, so we just settled for the chardonnay they did have… It was ok.). The pasta was heavy, which is expected with a cream sauce, but it was delicious. Very flavorful. The pizza was probably my favorite. It was a thin crust pizza with amazing flavor and texture combinations. The waiter warned us that it was spicy, so we asked him to downplay the heat, but when it came out, it wasn’t spicy at all… We love spicy foods, so we probably could have taken on the original. Overall, the food was good and the service was pretty good, too! Want some italian food in Cabo? Go check out this place!

A terrific break from Mexican food. A short walk from the Marina and a lovely setting with both inside and outside seating. The menu is terrific, with a large variety at reasonable prices. Service is great, Jose was our server. Nice bar with a variety of wines by the glass. I enjoyed a gnocchi special that was delicious. I added a spinach salad with goat cheese, cranberries and walnuts. Just terrific. My dinner guests had pizza, caprese salad and calzone. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I would go back in a minute. A little note, we got lost on our walk over and ran into a person walking. He happened to have a La Dolce shirt on and walked us to the restaurant. What a great guy! Go for it, don’t fall into the Marina trap. Great food.

Located on the perimeter of“El Centro”, you can’t miss this place. What drew me here? The commercial! Taunting delicious home-made pastas and sauces, and in Los Cabos of all places! Parking is tough if you’re driving, as it’s all street. Fortunately, there was a lot not too far away. Once in the restaurant, there was more than enough room for our lager party(7). Seating is either inside or outside in a courtyard, open air dining was very nice. Servers could speak English well enough, no problemo there. Foods were: — Absolutely amazing bread and butter. Probably the best that I’ve had to date. — Calamari Trifolate, sauteed calamari that was overly salty. I’d pass on this. — Fettuccine alla Romana, very good, slightly over cooked pasta and well seasoned chicken in a delicious white sauce. — Caprese, could have used a little more fresh basil, a good bit more pepper, and was completely missing balsamic glaze(though it doesn’t mention on the menu) — Linguine al Pesto, was decent. Not much to rave about, marginally better than what you’d find at an Olive Garden. — Spaghetti alla Carbonara, this was a delicious plate. a table favorite, though not mine. For dessert, I was going to go for the Gelato, but was politely informed that it was«honestly just regular ice cream». Cheers for the warning, jeers for having it on the menu. If I were hankering for some Italian, I’d visit one of their two locations,(San Lucas and San Jose). **Note: You must check your bill at EVERY restaurant while down here. It’s the norm. 9⁄10 of my bills were wrong.
