Great breakfast/brunch buffet. Everything fresh and tasty. Amazing variety of breads, meats, fish, fruits, and all the breakfast staples like: omelets to order, sausage, ham, oatmeal, etc. Expensive though… about $ 25 usd per person.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt, and ate at this restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Their ‘Luna Azul’ specialty drink is sweet, bubbly with a hint of lime, definitely worth a try! The dishes we ordered ‘salmon tacos’ and ‘fish salad’ are tasty and tangy. The waiters are attentive. Oceanfront view is very romantic.

This place is a Mexican gem! Great food at great prices. Full meal on the cheap in a very cute place. Neighborhood eatery seems very popular with the locals. Huge fresh juices. I recommend the chilaquiles and huevos a la mexicana.

This place is the bomb for breakfast buffet. We came here almost every morning for this amazing endless spread of pastries, salty lunch fare, perfect omelet station, and desserts/fruits, wit combination of European/American flavors and traditional Mexican dishes. We are super lucky to stay at the grand Hyatt with such amazing breakfast every day. The things to have/try, depending on availability of those things on that day — pozole(soup with pork and grain). Love this soup. Had this when I was in New Mexico and it’s excellent here — Mexican coffee(a bit sweet but worth trying). Skip the churro. — the sausage and honey ham table always have good meats there. If they have grilled sweet peppers next to them, take them. — red prickly pear(fresh fruit section) — red prickly pear jam(next to the coffee and Oatmeal section) Other things are great — these are just the ones that are Mexican specialties or especially delicious. Sit outside and enjoy the breakfast. Come here earlier if you can(before 10am so you could have some calm times at the restaurant before the crowd arrives. Also the staff is exceptional. The chef is awesome. When I was disappointed that they didn’t have Pozole that day, he brought out another soup for me. The danger of this place is that my eyes are bigger than my stomach — have to eat breakfast elsewhere 1 – 2 times just to not blow up completely during my holiday. The juices here are a bit too sweet for my taste. Get a Chaya/pineapple smoothie from the smoothie shop close to the lobby instead.

Great restaurant inside Grand Hyatt hotel at Playa del Carmen! Open air restaurant right on the beach with great views. Chilean lime chicken wrap with aioli 5⁄5 — perfectly seasoned and grilled wrap with delicious sweet and sour salad and corn salad. Pulled pork quesadilla 5⁄5 — perfectly moistened pork with delicious cheese and salsa. Will definitely return :)
