Great mix of tourist and expats. Friendly owners and bartenders make for a fun time. No frills and lots of good times. Love the location away from the tourist crap of Calle 5.

Came here because it was recommended by someone we met down here but after reading the reviews I have to agree. The bartenders are rude and the locals here think they’re too cool for school and mock the newcomers. The martinis are good but if you’re looking for a pleasant experience I wouldn’t recommend it.

This is my second time to Playa and ever since my first trip I’ve wanted to stop here. Decided to go for Karaōke night and it was such a blast. It was great entertainment and such a great vibe there. Everyone was very friendly. I read reviews about Angie and luckily she was there. She is so upbeat and so friendly. Her drinks are delicious! My drink of choice was the dirty martini but I did try the pomegranate. It was good but I went back to the dirty martini. My boyfriend got a Manhattan and really liked that. He mostly drank beer though but we did have a jäger bomb each. This place is so much fun with great drinks and great staff. I highly recommend this for a great night out in PDC.

My dad and I are visiting Playa for the week from Santa Monica, California. We were out to get a drink when we came upon this bar. We sat down and were greeted with a very rude bartender. I was taken aback, but I didn’t think anything of it. However when I ordered my drink, he had a terrible attitude and completely talked down to us. We decided to just get up and leave because of how horribly we were treated by this bartender. My dad and I were terribly disappointed by the service and won’t be coming back again. I would not recommend it and would suggest you to opt for another bar.

This is our very favorite bar in Playa Del Carmen. They have a perfect location, right near all of the bigger clubs yet off to the side on a smaller street. You find all ages here, but mostly 30, 40s and up. We love the staff: Cynthia, Meissy, Paloma, Karen and Greco. We have met so many friends here at this place that we still keep in contact with even though we live 1000’s of miles apart. The Martini’s are very good and very cold. My hub gets the lemon, I like the mocha one. They have specials everyday of the week too. Love Love Love this place! Looking forward to visiting teh DM this weekend when we arrive back in Playa for the 10^th time :)

El Dirty Martini es un pequeño rincón en la calle uno algo separado de los grandes antros y bares de la calle 12. Es un lugar con personalidad. El punto de reunión para los locales, para reunirse con el grupo de amigos, para pre copear o para tomarse la última de la noche.
El ambiente es tranquilo, cada quien esta en lo suyo. Se siente más local y no tan turístico.
A diferencia de otros lugares donde las bebidas pasan a segundo plano aquí se toman la coctelería en serio. Los martinis, como era de esperarse son ricos y hay varias opciones. El de espresso, el de pepino y el de melón son de mis favoritos, depende de mi estado de animo.
Algo que me gusta de el Dirty Martini es su carta de bebidas con cócteles clásicos. Muchos de ellos no los saben hacer en otros lugares o ni siquiera han escuchado de ellos, incluyendo el stinger o el old fashioned.

Este lugar es muy visitado por los extranjeros que viven en Playa y que les gusta pasar a tomar uno o dos tragos. Regularmente están transmitiendo algún deporte en las pantallas (casi siempre algo muy americano: béisbol, basqueetbol, futbol americano) y puedes sentarte en la barra o en las mesas de adentro o de afuera. Aunque el Martini es la «bebida por excelencia» en ese lugar, te contamos que hay de todo y para todos. La atención es discreta y es muy normal encontrar gente sola. Si quieres entablar plática con alguien, casi es obligatorio hablar inglés.
A mí me gusta ir ahí cuando es temporada de Serie Mundial o finales del Basquetbol, pero también se puede iniciar ahí la noche de parranda. A unos metros está la Calle 12 y todos sus antros. Mejor entre semana que en fin de semana. Los precios: muy en el promedio.

Para los amantes del Martini, este es el lugar en Playa del Carmen. Porque adivinen qué, la especialidad de la casa es el señor Martini. Tienen una variedad de preparaciones de este exquisito cóctel, de los que me saltaron a la vista son: martini pepino, muy refrescante; martini jengibre, martini chocolate y martini expresso. Exótico, ¿no?. El ambiente del lugar es muy ameno, si vas solo, puedes conocer posibles amigos de fiesta o quien sabe, grandes amigos. La gente que va es amplia, turistas, locales y expatriados que se vinieron a vivir a estas tierras paradisíacas. Lo mejor de todo, te atienden sus dueños que están siempre preocupados que tu vaso esté lleno. Hay promociones, por ejemplo: martes 2×1 todo el día, jueves ladies night, o sea, a mitad de precio. Se encuentra en la calle uno entre calle diez y doce. Está abierto de lunes a jueves y domingo desde el mediodía hasta la dos de la mañana, viernes y sábado del mediodía hasta las tres de la mañana. Intenta llevar bastante efectivo porque no aceptan tarjetas de crédito, para que puedas disfrutar de su variada carta de martinis.
