A creative, superbly executed meal served by waiters who care. The views of the ocean are also awesome.

As a resident of San Francisco I am spoiled by chefs who bring their best every day to survive in a city that demands great food. It’s a shame but restaurants don’t often live up to our high expectations when we travel, but Sufi in Punta Mita was a revelation. The lovely maitre d told us the philosophy of the restaurant is to keep it simple and let the local ingredients shine for themselves. That is not easily pulled off, but Sufi did it beautifully. Our favorite dish was the duck carnitas — it was a genius play on traditional Mexican flavors. The ahi tuna starter is also not to be missed. The décor of the restaurant is elegant and modern — like the food, Sufi’s interior lets the natural surroundings be the star of the show. We felt very welcome upon walking in, but nothing was fussy — just very warm, sincere hospitality. We loved it so much we canceled a reservation at the Four Seasons(also very good food) and went back again on our last night in town.

Excellent food, cool décor and vibe. J. Carlos was our waiter both times, and provided excellent service and advice, and Cesar Martinez general manager was very accommodating and involved. You MUST try Pizza Tataky! It was divine, and we had some for appetizer and for dessert, it was that good.

Hands down the best restaurant in Punta Mita if not all of Mexico. The spouse and I went last night and the service was impeccable. We had the lobster which was the special and the anajillo sauce was to die for. We started with the ceviche and watermelon salad which did not disappoint. Also the shrimp risotto is excellent. I can’t imagine staying in the area and not coming to this place for dinner. Absolute must!

Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Punta Mita and the most romantic setting wasn’t that bad. We are staying at the St. Regis so it’s was a 5 min ride in a cart to this private club restaurant. Our server was Juan Carlos and he was amazing. Made great recommendation from our Sufi salad to the Tuna catch of the day and the chocolate cake for dessert. An absolute home run!!!

From the St Regis it was a 5 min ride to this exclusive seaside restaurant residing at one end of private residential community Porta Fortuna. From our golf cart driver to the security personnel at the gate to the staff at the restaurant, they knew exactly who we are. Hence our exquisite culinary experience at Sufi began with coconut and cucumber margaritas. Oh did we mention the view was simply amazing with the Banderas Bay that greeted us as we were shown our table. The sun was just setting to our right(hidden from the open dining room’s view) leaving behind blushing wisps of clouds. Drinks aside, our shared starter of the Banderas Bay skewers of perfectly grilled and seasoned portobello mushroom, shrimp, beef, chicken, and fried Brie cheese was a good call. The accompanying dipping avocado sauce, aioli and roasted tomato sauce only added to our delight. The chef’s homemade bread was served hot and so delicioso. Our next course of a Caesar salad and a water melon salad were refreshing and scrumptious enough to heighten our anticipation of our red snapper al pastor and seafood paella entrees. The red snapper was cooked to perfection in flavor, texture and presentation. It was a perfect 10! There was an a abundance of baby calamari, shrimps, chunks of white fish and thinly sliced chorizo mixed in with Spanish rice soaked with broth in their famous seafood paella. By this time, we had lost count of the times our server checked on us. Desert choices were plentiful and the black forest cake didn’t disappoint us. In conclusion to our fantastromic meal and overall dining experience, it was shockingly inexpensive for all that we have so thoroughly enjoyed.

The restaurant design and location were phenomenal. Loved the setting and everything about the place however the food while presented nicely was lacking much flavor. The red snapper was cooked delightfully but yet again had little or no seasoning. Just kind of flat. The panna cota had good flavor but the texture was a little to influenced by gelatin instead of being creaming and smooth.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. We LOVED the food. We had the«tuna pizza» as well as the carne asada plate and the Greek tacos. The view was awesome and my son 6 year old loved the dessert selection! We stayed at the St. Regis and had a rental cart, so it was a quick«drive» over there.

Long overdue review for one of the best, most romantic restaurants we have ever been to! We stayed at the St. Regis down the street and didn’t have many dining options nearby. We’re so glad we found Sufi. Everything from the ocean view, the ambiance, the service, and the food was outstanding. We can’t wait for our next visit!

OMG! Go here, don’t even think about it. This restaurant is amazing. Every dish we ordered was outstanding and perfectly executed. The service was superb. The atmosphere was romantic and cool at the same time. Go, just go. For the level of food here, the prices were great. I had one cocktail, a salad, an entrée(duck) and dessert and spent approx. $ 75. Can’t wait to come back!!!

First time dining here but won’t be the last. The food was delicious — watermelon salad was good but the ribeye steak was the best steak I’ve had in Mexico. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful restaurant and good food. I would recommend the Paella and the lobster stuffed Cornish hen. They have a decent Wine selection
