Hotel Grand Prix

Since I had to be at the Cabo airport at 4am, I decided to grab a room at the Hotel Grand Prix after landing in Mexico City to sleep a while before my next flight. As I walked around the Mexico City Airport pricing out hotels I found Hotel Grand Prix. They were the cheapest hotel. You can’t bet a ride to the hotel and back to the airport, a nice king sized bed and free wifi for $ 46 US dollars, so I booked it!
As soon as I signed the paper work for the room my ride to the hotel was taking my bags and I to the awaiting shuttle van. The ride was fun and fast. The driver kept speeding past other cars, cutting off busses. While telling me, «That I was more important then everyone else and that they can wait till we passed»
Once I arrived at the hotel. I walked in the small but very clean lobby. My bagged were taken straight to my room as if the bell boy knew I was arriving. After checking in another bell boy showed me to my room on the 4^th floor. The room was very nice with multi colored walls i.e.: purple, light purple, floral, brown squares, and a light yellowish colored wall, the bed was a super soft king sized bed placed right in the middle of the room, the carpet looked very new. Not having any stains or dirt marks on it, the bathroom was sorta small, but was okay since I’m only gonna be there for 5 hours, but the floor was clean and the toilet, sink and counter top was nicely cleaned too. As for the shower, it was huge and it had amazing pressure. The only down fall to the shower is that you had to hold the glass shower door closed or you will drench the ground outside.
Right before I left I ordered some rooms service. It’s was sorta bland ordering a hamburger and some rolled tacos. Food arrived in a timely matter and was nice and warm.
When it came time for me to depart, I went down to the lobby to check out, which was fast and I was out the door to my shuttle. Within no time we were out the door, they driver was very personal, wanting to make sure my stay was good and nice. I assured him that it was great. On the way back to the airport he pointed out points of interest to the area we were in. Pretty cool ideas for my next trip. As I arrived back at the airport my driver took my bags as far as he could go and gave me great directions to find my flight.
I know where I’ll be staying when I go back to Mexico !!!
