We stumbled upon this restaurant while cruising the island by golf cart. I had the shrimp, veggie pizza which was amazing. Very laid back atmosphere. got a great white chocolate mocha to go — way better than Starbucks. They have signs stating they have the«Best Coffee on the Island» I believe it! Others in our party ordered seafood pasta, shrimp fajitas and chicken fajitas. All were good!

Loved the ambiance and everything we had. Very good service. We enjoyed dining alfresco, making this a good place for people watching. Tip for the tourists: Don’t, as in don’t ever buy anything from the store right across the entrance of this restaurant. That store will rip you off.

I hate giving bad reviews but this place was running a waiter scam that I really hate. After a fairly great dinner, the waiter gave us a bill that had half of the items run through the computer and 1000 pesos hand written. When pressed the waiter said that the machine stopped working — but everything we ordered last was included and all of our appetizers and drinks were left off. And then they no longer took credit cards — cash only even though credit cards were being taken all night. I hope the owner/manager reads this because your staff are stealing from you. We weren’t overcharged but as a small business owner myself this is the worst nightmare.

We have been here twice. The first time was in May 2015 for drinks and snacks then we went again last week for breakfast. Its super close to the ferry terminal and is not a tourist trap! They have delish coffee(as we are coffee snobs) and mojitos in addition to their consistently tasty food. They also have these great inspirational shirts around the restaruant that we absolutely love. You can;t go wrong with this place and its really reasonable as well! I had the huevos rancheros and the hubs had chilaquiles. We both cleared our plates! It was ironically located two doors down from our Dive shop so it was an all around win for us! If you can, eat here!

The wife and I had breakfast here at this relaxed restaurant — maybe a bit too relaxed as when we sat down someone came to bring us menus and took our coffee orders and then we never saw him again. After 15 minutes we flagged down another waiter who took our orders and brought coffee. My wife had a Varacruzano breakfast that was big enough for two and I just had a bagel with cream cheese. Prices seem a but inconsistent — my wife’s giant breakfast was about 90 pesos($ 5US) while my bagel was 70 pesos($ 4US). Coffee was good and they also have free wi-fi

I ate here for dinner my last night on the island. Oh my, I have been missing out. I probably would’ve eaten here way before if I knew it was so good. Dinner was delish. I had the Mexican fish and chips. Great drinks too! Wish I would’ve had room for dessert, it all sounded amazing. Also the size of the entrees are definitely large enough to share.

We happened upon this place by pure accident while zipping around in our rented golf cart. Based purely on the cute look, we decided to give it a go. The waiters were very relaxed and friendly, exactly what one would expect in a beach style café. I ordered a seafood combo dish and it was delicious and perfectly prepared. My boyfriend ordered pasta and loved it. The wifi was strong and helped us organize and make our next plans for our day on the Isla. We hope to come back one day and will definitely stop here again.

We’ve only been here during the day and I would definitely recommend it for breakfast and coffee! They have cute little beach chairs in front of the café to overlook the streetside and to soak up the first rays of sun in the morning. There’s a good selection of different teas and boozy cocktails, if that’s your thing. Good, solid breakfast choices, especially for curing a hangover. Yes, it’s touristy, but hey — you’re on Isla Mujeres and the litle town area IS just filled with tourists. Nevertheless, you’ll find a decent cup of cappuccino here to continue the rest of your day and further island adventures.

Delicious crepes and coffee. One of the workers there can play the guitar and sing. He’s very good at first I thought it was the radio playing. I was wrong it wasn’t the radio.

The first morning we were here, we woke up and asked our concierge where we could find the best coffee close to our hotel. We wanted a «local» experience. He jokingly said the reception area at our hotel served decent drip coffee. But then he told us about Café Mogagua. As much as we wanted to immerse ourselves into all the local feels that Isla Mujeres had to offer, our concierge knew what we really wanted. This was the kind of coffee we were looking for. It became a part of our morning routine to pick up an americano and a cappuccino here. Locals drank drip coffee. They don’t seem to have made a habit of drinking espresso drinks soooo we weren’t being good at keeping it more or less local but that was okay. This place always had tourists sitting around and hanging out. Service was a little bit on the slower side but who’s really in a rush in Isla Mujeres? Any time of the day that we walked by here, there we people just hanging out drinking coffee or eating food from here while reading a book. Besides the beach, this was another place to kind of just sit back and relax. If you’re American, prices are more like those at home. These lattes are approximately what you would pay at a standard coffee shop in the States. Fortunately, the coffee is actually delicious(a lot better than that place that starts with an S and rhymes with Marbucks).

Found this oasis on our one day self guided tour on isla mujeres shortly after renting our golf cart. It’s a block from the main drag, which is nice to be away from the street vendors and«traffic». Greeted with a friendly smile and prompt drink orders. We went for lunch and all decided a beer sounded best(sorry no coffee review here). Started off the meal sharing guacamole between the four of us — very delicious. The serving size was prefect as a small 4 person appetizer. My parents ordered the fish and gave me a bite — amazing. Not sure if it was the fresh fish or the yellow sauce on top, but it was truly phenomenal. My wife ordered the beef fajitas which were also tasty. I thought it was neat that the toppings(tomatoes/guac/refried beans) were served in edible tortilla cups! She couldn’t finish the plate due to the large serving size. I ordered the beef/chicken/bacon kabob(with onion and green bell peppers). It was only one kabob, but was plenty of meat, seasoned and grilled perfectly. My meal also came with a side of vegetables and rice. I wish I would have taken photos, but trust me, this place needs to be tasted to believe! Probably one of the better meals I’ve had thus far. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but definitely was on «island time»… plan accordingly, but also relax and enjoy the great atmosphere. Agree with other review that reminded them of a tree house and good music. The vines growing throughout were pretty cool. Finally, the check does include the gratuity… but the server wrote on it «gratuity is optional» — I didn’t say leave it/take it away/add more and they left it by default.

Our favorite place to have a coffee and relax. Breakfasts are great — lovely fruit plate and house-baked croissants are my favorite. Evenings a glass of wine, coffee and a dessert or snack… Really relaxed vibe and good music — usually Euro or Caribbean. If it gets busy it can be slow because everything is fresh made to order. But really, what’s the rush?

The food was ok but not great. Compared to it’s taste and quality expensive. A place for tourists only… There are better options.

Good pina coladas, tasty pizzas. We also tried a few potato dishes and the expensive grilled meat and they were a bust, not worth the price at all. Good service BUT beware they include 15% tip in the bill. US prices.

A relaxing outpost for foreign travelers. Out of the way of hawking vendors. Away from the blistering heat. A much needed link to the elusive internet. Coffee is moderately priced at 29÷34÷45 pesos for small/medium/large. Barely cheaper than Starbucks but more expensive than I hoped. Then again, you’re paying for a premium hideout with Internet. The Chiapas coffee is wonderfully brewed even when it’s over 90 degrees outside.

Came here one night for quick eats. Ordered a garden pizza which was nothing to write home about, but it did the job. Service was ‘island paced’ Free wi-fi. Allegedly this café has the best coffee on the island. I didn’t try, but my friend had a latte and wasn’t impressed. It was presented nicely in a beer mug though. That I found impressive! What I liked most was the ambiance and décor. Almost feels like you’re in a tree house. I’d recommend for casual eats and café style relaxation.

I had iced mocha and it was pretty good. Hubby had sangria and it was eh… tasted like juice than alcohol.
