La Tequila

Muy probablemente la mejor comida mexicana en todo Guadalajara. Atención de primera. Sin duda un referente obligado en la escena culinaria de Gdl.

Excellent food and drinks. The service was atrocious. Half the appetizers never showed up. 3 salads ordered 2 show up both the wrong type. One person was left waiting 15 minutes for her entrée. Even simple requests such as a bottle of water or a fork would take three or more attempts. The recompense was a free dessert, I think a round of tequila would have been more in order. Finally when the bill arrived it had $ 150 USD in extra charges: 2 bottles of wine (we had had cocktails with dinner), as well as all the items that never showed up. That took 3 attempts to straighten out as well. Oh and I’m a native Spanish speaker so language was not at issue.

We went here for our graduation because this place has good food and great service. The atmosphere of the place is awesome, the décor is beautiful and this place is so fun to be at.
The food here is really good but what I like about la tequila is the consistency. Every time we went, the food and drinks were consistently good. I really like that. This place is a definite must in Providencia.

This place is pricey. But ambiance is great, they have a play area with a nanny (with bad movies playing though) food is pretty good. I had the tasting menu and it was good to try many things. I like the arrachera, chile enogada and platanos con mole. It’s a good Mexican kind of fancy experience.

Creo que de hoy en adelante es mi lugar favorito para comer, los sopesitos con tuétano de entrada, wooooooooow me han dejado enamorada de este lugar, aparte de que es sumamente bonito por dentro y fuera, la comida Gourmet mexicana es de la mejor que he probado, me toco un mesero que aparte de guapo era sumamente atento. Como se llama la Tequila obviamente tienen todos los tequilas habidos y por haber, y claro eso hace que sea una experiencia única, no olviden probar las crepas de postre, más aparte tienen gran variedad hecho con agave y woooow riquísimo todo, si pudiera darle más calificación se lo daba. Creo que los precios son justos porque es delicioso. Sumamente recomendado este lugar.

we had a group of seven people went to La Tequila for late dinner. I ordered Coconut shrimps and took forever and the food wasn’t that good. The rest of people on the table said the same thing. Food is not good. This place is for Tequila drinkers but not for foods. The one thing we all likes is the Bread stuff with cheese.

The service was attentive. The ambience was good, and the food was very tasty. It was a great way to start my stay in Guadalajara!

I had the Oaxacan mole with chicken. I also has a margarita. Overall the food was a solid 4. The wait staff was pleasant and prompt. The Atmosphere is nice, with some interesting décor. We also got some nice free samples. I especially liked the salsa mixed custom for us right at the table.
Not quite 5-​star food, but an overall enjoyable experience. We’ll probably be back before we leave town.

La tequila Definitely caters to English speaking tourists. Our entire experience was in English and our bill was presented to us in US dollars, which was a little weird.
This aside, our experience was great and I would definitely return.
First off, the raw tuna appetizer is incredible! Fresh, full of flavorful ginger and soy sauce and lots of fresh tuna: great portion size for sharing!
Salsa made at the table: most excellent! Chips are great as well. Medium = spicy if you are a typical gringo. It’s hard not to ask for seconds, but we managed.
The hubby ordered a Margarita and found it well balanced, my mojito was solid but some of mint was not very fresh (black specks of very, very unfresh mint)
My sons food came out with appetizer, which was appreciated. The Kids portion is huge! Share with siblings unless you have a good eater. I was very happy to see grilled chicken offered to young customers.
My shrimp Tacos in jicama shell is very refreshing on a hot day. I’m not one for tartar sauce so I added extra table salsa and they were excellent. Definitely not a meal unto themselves though!
Hubby’s mole was lovely, and he commented that the chicken was very tasty.
None of the meals are excessive in size, yet you leave feeling satisfied.
After a lot of traditional Mexican fare I found La Tequila refreshing and enjoyable compared to the typical heavy meals of this region.
Service is great, atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. It’s definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

I went to this restaurant with a mexican friend and all I can say it is a pretty fancy restaurant /​bar. It is not cheap compared to other restaurants in mexico but it is definitely worth every cent.
The service was really amazing and paying attention to the need of everyone. One second you finished your bottle of beer, the next second the waiter asked if you want to have a new one and not more then 1 second later you had a new one standing on the table ready to be enjoyed.
The food is also great, unfortunately we ate upstairs and not in the restaurant, because rumors say they make the salsa next to your table if you are downstairs (but I have no proof for that).
But the best thing was the tequila tasting. We wanted to drink a tequila after dinner (sure, what else in mexico and especially in a place called «la Tequilla) but we didn’t know which to choose. This was the time as the waiter brought us 3 tequila to try which one is the best for us anad after we decided they filled up the glass.
Next time Guadalajara, I will be there. 100% !!!
(Btw.: I have never seen that many different Tequila Brands in my whole life)

Had an excellent dinner. The tenderloin with mole sauce was great. Excellent place for business dinner.

No dejen de probar el flan de elote !!! Es delicioso !!! De los platillos principales me gustan los chiles rellenos de carne y los nopales.
El servicio es bueno y los precios razonables dentro de lo que cabe

Me encanta este restaurante, es hermoso por dentro tiene un estilo rustico pero muy elegante y romántico, están dividido en aéreas para grupos que van por trabajo o parejas que quieren algo mas privado o una sección más común donde hay muchas mesas y van familias enteras o grupos de amigo a festejar cumpleaños o solo por el gusto de reunirse, en la parte de restaurante, la comida es deliciosa, los camarones momia sin duda son mis favoritos, (camarones con queso envueltos con tocino sobre una base de pasta y una salsa roja exquisita) o los camarones al coco (camarones cubiertos de coco tostado, con una salsa de mango deliciosa) hay una gran variedad de platillos, les recomiendo ampliamente probar estos platillos.
En la parte del bar el ambiente es muy padre y le garantizo que estarán muy agusto tiene buena música y muy ricas bebidas para todos los gustos desde lo más simple hasta lo más sofisticado, tienen servicio de valet parking, el personal es muy amable desde el momento en el que llegas hasta salir del lugar.

Un bonito lugar para llevar a los turistas extranjeros y a los paisanos que quieren probar la alta cocina mexicana. Me encanta un «árbol» que tienen en el centro del restaurante adornado con corazones rojos de vidrio soplado, ¡me lo quiero llevar a mi casa!
También tengo muy presente su cava subterránea que se ve en el piso de la entrada del restaurante, diario evito pisar por el cristal que permite verla en el piso, como si se fuera a romper o yo a caer.
En cuanto a la comida, es bastante buena, solo aquí he encontrado que ofrezcan gusanos de maguey y escamoles (aunque la última vez no recuerdo haberlos visto). Su cocina comprende no solo la de Jalisco, sino de Oaxaca, Yucatán, Puebla y otros estados. No falta el chile en nogada en temporada por ejemplo.
También te dan tortillas no solo las típicas de maíz amarillo, sino azul y rojo, deliciosas. Y para cerrar una buena comida te despiden con un sorbete de tequila, buen detalle.

Un lugar encantador.
Afortunadamente no tuve que pagar yo, estaba ya muy acabada, gasté de más toda la semana y para cuando me invitaron mi dinero ya se había ido. Me habían invitado pero de cualquier forma es medio incómodo que te paguen.
Pues un lugar con mezcla de elegancia y sobriedad, de ese formalismo que no es pretencioso.
La comida está exquisita, como es de esperarse es comida mexicana pero no exclusivamente ofrecen esto. Igual pasa con las bebidas, obviamente no sólo sirven tequila como bebida alcohólica. La carta de vinos es amplia y la de comida también.
El servicio a la altura del restaurante, muy amables y te atienden con prontitud.
Comencé diciendo que qué bueno que no pagué yo, tanto por mi penita como por los precios. Son un tanto altos, no es como para ir ahí diario claro está. Está perfecto a par ir con la familia (o con lo amigos si es una ocasión especial)

Fantásticos platillos gourmet nacionales e internacionales y un excelente servicio es lo que encontraras en el restaurante La Tequila Cocina Mexicana. Pero que calidad de comida se preparan ahí, siempre que mis papas vienen de vacaciones a Guadalajara La Tequila es la primera opción por lo mismo de que se que mis papas tienen un paladar difícil de convencer. Lo único que me fallo la ultima vez es que no hice reservación y tuvimos que esperarnos poco más de 20 minutos pero la pena. De los precios si tienes que contemplar que mínimo gastaras un promedio entre 200 y 300 pesos sin contar bebidas extras. El servicio esta muy bien también, nos trataron de lo mejor desde que estábamos esperando mesa hasta que pedimos la cuenta. Fuera de eso, vale la pena visitarlo, las instalaciones están muy bonitas y el ambiente muy relajado para ir en compañía de familia, amigos o pareja.

La Tequila es un lugar solo para paladares exigentes y personas de buen gusto, aquellos que no valoran un lugar bonito y con cocina de alta categoría mejor ni lo visiten.
Hace poco celebré aniversario con mi novia en la Tequila, y tengo que admitir que fue estupendo. Es un lugar con clase y atención de primera. Ofrecen cocina mexicana gourmet, cortes, mar y cocina internacional. Es necesario hacer reservación pues por su excelente calidad siempre esta lleno. Probé los camarones al coco en salsa de piña y chipotle, simplemente grandiosos. Mi novia cenó unos camarones flameados con tequila, envueltos en tocino, casi me como los de ella de tan ricos que estaban.
Guadalajara es una ciudad con infinidad de restaurantes, pero me atrevo a afirmar que La Tequila está entre los mejores 5 de la ciudad, sacan excelencia en todo lo que se pueda evaluar de un restaurante. Tienen que darse el gusto de acudir y dejarse atender por el personal de La Tequila que en verdad te harán sentir como un verdadero cliente VIP.
De vinos, ya se imaginarán, cava completísima, un full bar como cualquier restaurante de 5 estrellas.

Este lugar es fantástico por su cava de vinos, la mejor que yo haya visto en Guadalajara, es subterránea y se puede caminar sobre ella porque tiene un vidrio templado. Los preciosos son caritos, pero vale la pena probar algo diferente y de gran calidad. Me tocó comer en la zona de bar, de entrada nos dieron palomitas porque creían que nos quedaríamos sólo a beber, pero en realidad preferimos estar arriba porque la luz estaba más cálida y en la parte del restaurante había mucha gente. Nos atendieron muy bien, dado a que estábamos solos disfrutamos mucho del ambiente del bar a manera solitaria, mi hermana y yo tuvimos un momento en el que la música no nos gustó tanto y le comentamos al barman, sin ningún problema cambió la lista de reproducción y terminamos disfrutando del espacio que parecía reservado para nosotras. El molcajete estuvo delicioso, traía camarón, arrachera, nopales, chorizo y una quesadilla que nos hizo terminar la cena con una sonrisa asombrosa.

Four of us went to La Tequila on a strong recommendation from our hotel owner. We expected some high quality over the top dishes but most of us were very disappointed with our orders.
We started out with chips and salsa. The salsa was made front of us with what looked like fire roasted tomatoes, onions and some type of very spicy chile peppers and/​or hot sauce that was very delicious, however, it was a bit too spicy for half of our party so a milder salsa was made for us which we appreciated. All of us liked their house made chips. After that came a basket of sesame breadsticks with sweet rolls. After asking about the breadsticks, they gave us a takeout box full of them. The house offered us shooters of shrimp soup that was liked by everyone.
My Caesar Salad was good but overdressed and the fideo pasta was way overcooked being almost pasty.
One had their special chile relleno which he forced to consume half of out of politeness. I had a beef chile relleno that was not flavorful stuffed with tough beef. An another had some sort of beef that was flavorful but tough. One person had a fish dish, although he ate it all, did not offer any comment.
After seeing that a chile relleno was only half eaten, the manager came over to offer my friend some other dish but he declined. Shooters of house made tequila ice cream was brought to us on the house. It was very good.
Although all the free items were delicious and the service was great, we will not be returning to this establishment nor recommend them to others.

Really good service, delicious Mexican food. Best of all the tequila selection is fabulous. I’ve been here several times in my visits to Guadalajara — part of what I do for business is explore new & promising tequila brands. I can tell you that you’ll discover great tequilas to both satisfy and expand your pallet.

Nice ambiance as this restaurant provides a more personal touch. The items are traditional and of good quality. Price is average to above average for the area. I enjoyed my dinner and the casual pace. Beer selection a little sparse, offer many hard to find tequilas.
