The best thing this hotel has going is the staff. They are superstars. The worst thing going is the corporate owners/leaders, they don’t care about the property or community. Hotel is very clean, needs are met as long as it in the staff’s control. Friendly, professional, and seem to bend over backwards for you. Building is in disrepair and neighboring businesses make this outright slum. Maintenance of appliances and utilities is APPALLING. It is quiet obvious the ownership will not put one peso into the building. Paint, yes. Fixing air conditioning, no. Coffee pot sprayed boiling water, both AC units failed, whirlpool has rotted rubber particles floating in tub, Our AC failed due to a serious flaw. It sucks hot air from within the building’s structure and not the room. After three attempts the staff found us a room that one of two AC units worked, which is actually a major improvement over our first room. You will smell what folks are cooking next door. Neighborhood is a slum. It is also quiet obvious the ownership is absent from the business community and does not stay in their own hotel. Outside the hotel trash, pushy peddlers, and rundown bars make the area dangerous. On their private beach the peddlers literally use up all the hotel’s beach chairs, shade, guest amenities and scenic views. It is obvious these obnoxious locals are paying a hotel employee for this parasitic opportunity. We will not come back to Acapulco. We will not use Fiesta American again. It is the city’s own fault it looks like crap and the corporate leaders fault the hotel is nearly empty. Don’t let the numbers at the pool fool you. Locals pay for a day pass at the pool. Again, the staff were awesome and the only thing not making our stay a disaster.

The Fiesta Americana has provided for quite a pleasant stay. We arrived on a Friday afternoon, and stayed for a long weekend, yet never once did I feel as if the hotel was overcrowded or we were deprioritized for other guests. The location, immediately above the beach at Playa Condesa, made for spectacular views at all hours of the day. This was true both from our room’s balcony and the communal pool area as well. The room itself was very nice, offerring nothing particularly special but lacking nothing important. As my wife often comments, the room is both«fresh and clean.» Honestly, I rather have a single large bed rather than two doubles, but we didn’t care enough to make a big fuss. How much time would we be spending inside anyway? If anything, I’f complain that the pitch to buy into the hotel’s connected time-share was a little too heavy handed. As soon as we checked in, and every time we walked through the lobby, someone was try to sell us on this. Sometimes, you just want to go to the pool without an investment offer… Anyway, the last thing I would say was that we felt extremely safe in the hotel and all of the tourist areas throughout the city. We’re quite aware of the troublesome situation that the region has been dealing with of late; not to metion, the warnings issues by the U.S. Embassy not to travel here. Yet, while we were somewhat concerned when we boarded our plane(having had zero prior experience with Acapulco), we have experienced nothing but friendly service since the moment we landed. I would strongly encourage others to consider traveling to Acapulco in the future.

Hotel staff is extremely attentive & friendly. Our room had beautiful ocean view & was kept impeccably clean by our amazing housekeeper Rosa. The hotel itself is pretty nice & definitely recommend it for families who wish to stay here. If you’re planning to come on your honeymoon or couple getaway this is NOT the hotel to stay at. Negative: Pool area closes at 9PM every night! Even though hotel has beach area it’s extremely small & guest are NON-STOPPED harassed to the MAX& beyond by vendors.
