As the name implies, this place is an «express» sushi restaurant so you need to have reasonable expectations when you dine here. It’s basically an average-tasting fast sushi place for people to grab a quick bite. It’s very popular with the office lunch crowd on weekdays. There are very few tables(maybe only 2 or 3) and some bar seats so be prepared to grab your lunch to go. Sometimes I have barely enough time to do my grocery shopping and then I realise that I haven’t eaten yet and I need to go pick my daughter up from school and there’s no time to go have a proper meal in a proper restaurant. Then I remember this place and during these moments it really is my saviour. I can be in and out of here in literally 5 minutes(plus, having kids has taught me to eat as fast as I can!) I usually just get something simple like the Kani Maki which is pretty hard to mess up. It tastes decent enough to satisfy my sushi cravings and costs barely RM7. I’ve also on occasion ordered hot miso soup on a rainy day which tasted fine as well. They also have Tempura Udon and Chicken Katsu which I see many people ordering. This place is good for a quick sushi fix — the servers are friendly and the prices are very reasonable as well.

This is unfortunately a little below the standard I look for in a sushi place. It is not the worst place I’ve been to in KL but a lot better can be found. I’ve tried some of their basics. California roll, salmon maki, spicy tuna roll and miso soup. All of them provide sushi in a quick«express» fashion but not much beyond that. The price tag is nice however. Most things are actually cheaper than you would find in a grocery store. My main gripe is just that the quality of fish is not what I like it to be.
