Server was quite friendly. Overall food quality is good, fresh veggies and lots of options. The prawn and squid were not so fresh. The pork slices were suprisingly quite fresh for a shabu-shabu place!

If you take a closer look, you’ll realised there are a lot of steamboat and shabu shabu restaurants in Puchong area. I’m not too sure why most of them choose to operate in Puchong, but I think is good news for people who enjoy steamboat and shabu shabu a lot. Among these restaurants, I ate in Shabu Shabu Buffet City the most. Since it’s a buffet concept, they charge about RM28 per person and you can eat all you want. It’s a corner shop and they occupied 2 floors. Instead of sharing a pot, they provide individual shabu shabu pot. I prefer it this way as it’s more hygiene. The concept is very much like a sushi restaurant with food and ingredients rotating on a huge conveyer belt. You can pick and choose the ingredients you want. Each of the portion was quite small, but it’s better this way so you can have better control of the amount you can to put into the soup. They have both raw and cooked food. The downside of the conveyer belt was the food you wanted might have been taken by someone else before it reaches you. However, you can always order from the servers. The place is always crowded so do bear with the servers if they are taking a bit of time to attend to your need. Besides the food, they have free flow drinks and ice cream at the side too. The shabu shabu restaurant is ALWAYS packed with people, so I would seriously recommend you to make reservation. We did a mistake once in not making reservation and walked out disappointed.
