What a tosser! This place is hard to get to, a bit on the rim of the Jaya Shopping Center’s fourth floor, where the sun doesn’t shine. It’s not quite Bungsar where I live but rather it’s firmly lodged in PJ. I asspecially like the concept and in the end I did get my salad tossed and all was good in the world.

Found this little eatery on the 4th floor of Jaya Shopping Centre in SS14 Petaling Jaya and I must say I love their deco. Despite not having a proper shop lot and operating at a corner bordering the escalator area, they managed to pull off a garden look that includes cushy bean bags and swinging basket seats. Food wise, I ordered their basil pesto with chicken. The chicken bits were rough as they came from the chicken breast but the pesto itself was herby and cheesy and rich, which was great for me, Hubby was satisfied with his mamak mee goreng but it wasn’t too impressive. The meal costs us RM50 plus just for two dishes and a Sprite so I’m not a fan of the prices here. However the staff were great and the atmosphere made me feel rested and relaxed so I’m giving them a thumbs up for that.

Located on the second highest floor of jaya shopping centre sits Tossed, a quiet little café opposite one of the escalator. Featuring basic favourites like pasta and fried rice, thus is an ideal place to go for a fuss free lunch. They have weekday lunch deals that are pretty reasonable. What i’ve had so far was the prawn pasta which gave me a good impression. Agli olio style, it was garlic-y and spicy which I just love. The prawn itself was fresh and sweet. Overall a yummy dish. Aside fron the norm, they have salmon salad. A rarity in my book. Other than that food is decent but not amahhhzing. Sometimes I drop by here for tea because of the location which makes it isolated. A good thing id you’re looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind. And the wifi doesn’t hurt either.^^

How many of you have been to Jaya Shopping Centre in Seksyen 14 at Petaling Jaya since its opening? Joe and I visited the place a few times and we stumbled upon this nice little fusion restaurant located at the top floor(4th floor) — Tossed. The place can be quite easy to miss as it’s a stall by itself instead of a shop lot. The place is simple and cosy, especially the bean bag area. I could totally enjoy some afternoon tea or coffee time with my girls sitting there. On top of that, they have really friendly staffs too. We were quite unsure what to order due to being a first timer there, but the waiter was really patience in explaining and recommending the dishes to us. If you are a lover of spicy food like me, then you’ll like the Spicy Aglio Olio. The spaghetti was al dente, and the prawns were cooked perfectly — it’s a plate of well-seasoned dish. However, it was a bit too oily for my liking. In my opinion, they could cut down on that olive oil a little. We ordered the Johor Laksa too. Coming from someone who grew up in Johor, I had high expectations on the dish. Instead of laksa, I felt it tasted more like Mee Rebus. However, a plus point for this dish was the noodles — they replaced the usual yellow noodles with spaghetti. Overall, I like the place a lot and really consider revisiting the place.
