I love beef noodles, so I was excited when I found out Soong Kee had opened up another branch in SS2 square. The restaurant is located along the same row as Digi Centre.
I had the Mixed Beef Noodles Soup, which include some beef, stripes, tendons and beef balls. The broth wasn’t as clear as the one I had in KL, and it was quite dark. I took a sip of the broth and was very disappointed. It doesn’t taste like beef soup, instead I felt it tasted very much like an average soy sauce soup. The stripes and tendons were good as they have been cooked down and were very soft. However, I wasn’t a fan of the meat. It was coated with a thick layer of starch and the texture was weird.
Overall, it was very disappointing and I don’t think it’s worth a second visit.
