Once check out from ikea store, remember stop by their bistro to have the self service ice cream and curry puff. Their curry puff got egg inside of it. For the cafeteria, the meatball and mashed potato is a must. The salmon is big portion, and it’s taste great too

Ikea food court is a must stop for when you are in Ikea shopping or if you’re craving delicious swedish meatballs. Ikea food court has a self service practice and they have a limited menu. They are most famous for the meatballs and the hazelnut chocolate cake. they also have chicken wings, vegetarian pasta, blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls. On weekends the queue for food can get extremely long and you may have to line up for an hour even. The food is moderately priced and the eating area is cleaned regularly by the staff although there are signs everywhere asking people to clear their own trays.

When I think of IKEA, I can only think of meatballs! And boy it has been a while since I had them. Ah I must say the cafeteria is always packed and the queue for the food is always long. But the staff are efficient with the crowds which help eased the congestion. Other than the delicious meatballs, their chicken wings are good too. Their smoked salmon sandwich is also awesome. For sweets, their cinnamon rolls are good too. Coffee and carbonated drinks are refillable so you can get your dose of caffeine freely and limitlessly.

I bet one of the many reasons that people comes to Ikea’s food court is because of the prices of their food. I noticed that their food is reasonably priced. Well, a hotdog with drinks for only RM3 where else can you get that? A sundae for less than one bucks. Even McDonalds is charging RM1.05 for their sundae. I guess this is the best place to come to for some quick bites after strolling in Ikea. Most people comes for their famous meatballs, but I’m mainly here for its curry puffs(because I don’t take beef and I love curry puffs). In case you don’t know, their curry puffs is equally famous like their meatballs. However my other half who are more picky on his curry puff doesn’t like Ikea’s curry puff because they have eggs in it(ignore him, he’s a weirdo: p). Well of course, all the way here I didn’t just get one back. Whenever I buy their curry puffs, I usually get a few back home too. Try their curry puffs if you’ve not tried them before. Not sure if you’ll love it, but I know I do!

Them MEATBALLSANDDESSERTS! MAJORBOMB! Ok it might sound overrated to some people but I LOVETHEMMM :) Well their pasta tasted bland, so you can scrap that. And as for their mushroom soup, they are the instant made powder form, so maybe you can just go to the supermarket and buy them and cook it yourself. But yeah if you are craving for it just go ahead :) Oh yes the dessertttttttt is heavenly. I love it! They have different cakes every time I go there. So they might have a sequence to it. Things over there are like super cheap, I can’t believe my eyes. It’s like I’m at a school canteen or something. The major headache will be to get a seat. I usually go with a small group so we will be able to share table with some of the families. If you are with a big group, you might want to consider splitting yourselves into a couple of small groups. I just couldn’t stop coming back to them. :)

Well now, this might be a topic that seems a bit odd but honestly speaking, if you ever go to IKEA for ONLY the food then join the club. I do that occasionally too. I have to say, for those of you who have not tried the food there and go now! They have a variety of delicious, mouth-watering food but the most famous I would say is the one and only Swedish meatballs. If you haven’t tried this then you haven’t lived. The food here is what makes people love IKEA. The concept is basically like an American school cafeteria. You line up, get your food then pay. Sometimes you have a whole family with you so there are special trolleys for those. The prices are acceptable and the workers, well, can do better to smile more. Though I have to say, it would be best if you came during the weekdays more as weekends will likely be packed with people. It’ll be quite hard to find a place to eat.

Seriously, I have forgotten when was my last time to dine at Ikea food court. I used to work nearby and Ikea food court is one of the dining places I will go to have my lunch or dinner. However, because I worked in weekends, if I can avoid the rush hour, I will try to because Ikea will be crazily packed with people in weekends! Ikea food court is located at the first floor. The food court is actually spacious; however, because of people, it seems not enough space to meet the demand. One of the reasons that Ikea food court is always full is because of its reasonable and delicious food. Sadly to say, they only have few food choices but people just like it. One of the signature dishes in Ikea will be its Swedish Meatballs. It is beef meatball, so yeah, I am not fancy about it. But, my dear did. He loved to invite me to purchase this Swedish Meatball when passing by Ikea. Other than the foodcourt at first floor, the food kiosk at ground floor also caught my attention. I love buying Ikea’s ice cream. It is only RM1! Well, I think this is a standardized price for all countries. I remember I have AUD1 for the Ikea ice-cream few years ago when I visited Adelaide. So, RM1 is seriously very very cheap. Overall, Ikea food court serves good and cheap food. However, I will advise you to go in weekdays if you can, because in weekends, you definitely need to wait for a long queue.

Believe it or not this was the first time I’ve been to IKEA even though I’ve been living in KL few years time. There are so many people do shoppings and queued at the cashier counters although it’s Tuesday morning… What picked my interest was its mini food court outside the cashiers which located at the ground floor. It sells only a few snacks and refreshment such as doughnut, curry puff, sausage bun, salmon ball, coffee, tea, drinking water and ice cream(that’s all!), but there can be a long queue for those foods! So I followed the queue, ordered a sausage bun, curry puff, salmon balls and a bottle of drinking water. The sausage bun was okay, with an average size. The salmon balls tasted special and crispy, and I love the curry puff the most! Its size is definitely bigger than curry puff outside, it even has egg in inside and it costs only RM1(that’s real cheap)! There are also other combo sets for example a sausage bun, a curry puff, an ice cream and a cup of coffee for only RM5. And it also provides standing tables for the customers. That’s just too much affordable and convenient around this area~ Just remember that the curry puff is a must!

Ah yes, my third home literally. I hop here when I feel like resting on couches and buy things I dont need. When I am exhausted, I sprung out of bed, literally and head over to the food court with my buddies. During lunch hour, I can tell you the queue is like students lining up to get their injection shots. Probably takes at least 20 – 30 to your turn. The signature dish? Has always been the meatballs! Yes, I gave the meatballs a try again after a long time. Once you got your food, finding a seat is like finding a needle in a haystack during lunch hour. Lucky for us, someone left just as we reached that table. The day got a little worst, whem the meatballs taste not as good as it used to be :(! It taste differently and it felt the meat was a little rough. Some of the meatballs, that weren’t drenched with the gravy were tasteless though. If the next time, I would visit this food court, I do hope they restore the taste of the meatballs as how it once was!

When everyone is talking about how tasty their Swedish meatballs is, to be honest I never try before(because I don’t take beef). The only food that I will always craving for is their curry puff! It’s located at the ground floor of ikea right in front of the cashier counters when you on your way out. You will usually see the crowds and long queue on the weekends. The size of their curry puff is bigger that the traditional curry puff that we usually buy. Its contain curry potatoes with chicken, onions and boiled egg. I love it because the thin pastry is not over greasy and is crispy, while the filling is compact. It’s cost RM1.00 per piece. It’s serve best with coffee or tea for tea break. There also sell vanilla ice-cream, salmon meat ball, hot dog and drinks. The price of every food is averagely about RM2−5.

It’s one of the best places to get cheap food! In Ikea Food Court, you have many choices like Swedish Meatballs RM10 for 10 pieces, Open Face Sandwiches for RM5.90 each and Cold Water Prawns for RM8.90.You can stop by the Bistro for curry puffs, soft serve ice-cream and delicious chicken hot-dogs. The food comes fast, as you would expect it to in a food court, and the place is air-conditioned.
