Babyland

I remember coming to Babyland when I was kid of not more than 10 and now, over 20 years later this place still exists! OK so now I feel old but this shop is a true icon in terms of Baby needs. The thing I don’t like is that it is located on the second floor of a shoplot above a little kedai runcit (Savemart) and it is a bit steep so it can be tricky. I went here once when I was 8-​months pregnant and my husband was scared to death that I would trip and fall.
In any case, once you make the brave climb upstairs, the shop is surprisingly spacious. From outside it seems deceptively small. They sell everything related to babies and toddlers and have whole sections for diapers, clothes, nursing needs, bottles and even a toy section. I find their prices to be competitive and they usually have discounts available.
They have a range of organic baby food as well as organic body washes and creams which I definitely appreciate as my kids both have very sensitive skin and can’t take the normal baby bath products available in all pharmacies.
I bought a baby monitor here recently and the lovely sales aunty helped me test it out and explained how to use it. Most of their staff are older women and it kind of feels like talking to your mom when you need to find out more about a certain product. They all know the store like the back of their hand so when you can’t find something you need, please do ask one of the helpful sales women.
