Sephora is like a magnet to me, every time I walk past the shop I’ll get pulled in by the invisible force. Sometimes I left the shop empty handed, but most of the time I left the shop with empty purse. They carry a lot of different brands that you rarely see on supermarkets shelves or in pharmacies. Though I must admit that most of the things are pretty pricey. If you are a member, you’ll get 10% discounts or something like that. I don’t keep track of it because sometimes there’s discounts, other times I get nothing. I wish they have more naturals, fair-trade and organic products because that’s what I’d like to support. But I guess they are promoting glamorous-looking, fashion-forward concept rather than healthy and natural lifestyle. I’m still going to come back because I can’t resist those glorious lipsticks and blushers and nail polish and oh. the whole store.

Ladies, hold on to your lacey knickers and gentlemen, give those tighty whities a firm tug, Sephora has finally landed in Mid Valley! Yay! This store benefits both sexes and I’ll tell you why in a minute(I could already hear all the men simultaneously rolling their eyes now.) I don’t think the ladies need any more explanation as to what Sephora is and what products it carries. What I want to concentrate on here is educating the men folk, the über-fashionable male, and the metrosexuals. Sephora is known for carrying a whole bunch of beauty products from the US as well as all over the world. If you would be patient and take your time, you would be surprised to what you’d find. Take me, for example, the first time I was in the Mid Valley store, I was surprised to find that their array of anti-wrinkle care is almost obscene. I was flabbergasted and near to tears. It has been something I’ve been thinking about lately, you know, as a preventive step. I’m not saying I have wrinkles now but you know what they say, prevention is better than cure and I think men are a little egoistic to even acknowledge that they need some help in that department. Using an anti-wrinkle cream does not make you any less of a man, it simply says that you care for you appearance and that you take very good care of yourself. No, you’re not a sissy. Other than that, they also have plenty of masculine cover-up options like powder foundation and the likes. Now I know that this is taking things one step further but I implore you to give it some thought. It has helped me immensely with my self-confidence. No, that one bar of soap does not act as an all in one cleanser/masque/shampoo/conditioner/moisturizer/anti-wrinkle cream/matt powder. It doesn’t even remove most of your clogged up dead skin cells. So please, leave your egos at the door and embrace proper self-care, this includes beauty products. You would thank yourself one day.
