Universal Traveller

Staying in a country where its summer all year round, I think its really hard to find proper padded jackets for when you need to travel overseas to more cooler climates. We were packing to go on a ski trip in Scotland when we looked at the weather forecast and realized that we didn’t have appropriate down jackets. i mean we do have jackets at home but none that could save us from a –3 Celsius snowy night. Thank God for this shop right?
My siblings and I fake-​ski-​ed our way to this shop, you know, just to loosen the right muscles, and gave the salespeople there more than they could handle. I’m pretty sure we’re not allowed there anymore.
We acted like a group of 5-​year-​olds. We tried on several gorgeous down jackets, trying to match it with ski-​trip appropriate ‘looks’ in our heads. All this while the salesgirls looked at us in awe. Not because they were struck by our beauty, but because they were wondering why we were left unsupervised.
They had plenty of options to choose from and they were all über fashionable. Aside from down jackets, they also had an array of the softest wool sweaters known to man which we also tried on. There were also several colorful luggage bags on display (no, we didn’t wheel the luggage bags throughout the shop) but each of us already had one at home so we gave them a pass.
After a whirlwind of jackets being tried on and taken off and sweaters being tugged and modeled and snowcaps being worn and thrown at each other (no, this wasn’t an 80’s movie montage, we were just being us,) my siblings each went home with one down jacket and a couple of snowcaps each except for me, I got myself two down jackets. What can I say? I like to have options.
My sibling rolled their eyes simultaneously and we went for dinner.
