The Westin Kuala Lumpur

Was here for 8 nights for a business trip and would definitely stay here again. Good value, everything you need (nice big breakfast selection, 24-​hrs gym that’s better equipped than most hotel gyms, pool) and right across from the Pavillion shopping mall.
Most importantly, the service was very good. I had received an email after checking out, notifying me of a missed mini-​bar item that would be charged to y credit card. I appreciated the notice, but replied that it was not an accurate charge. They quickly replied noting the error and were very apologetic for the mix-​up.
For the value, I’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel seems to be a little dated and due for renovation. Could use some upgrades in technology.
Bed side didn’t have any power sockets for me to charge my phone which is a nuisance.
You can’t use the hair dryer in the bathroom.
Wall paper starting to come off.
Elevator uses old magnetic key swipes and doesn’t work half the time.
Convenient location across the pavilion mall is a plus. View from the rooms can’t really see the KLCC towers but can see the KL tower.
Breakfast had a lot of variety but not really the best quality in my books.
Staff are very friendly.
I’m an SPG platinum member and used my points for this visit. I think you’d probably get better value for points at the newer Aloft in KL sentral.

Westin Hotel is a 4-​star hotel that located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur, right opposite of Pavilion’s Entrance, on your left. Probably it takes only 2 to 3 minutes from Pavilion to Westin Hotel, pretty convenient.
I have been familiar with Westin Hotel for a while since my Australian friends had brought me here. Whenever they are in KL, they would stay at least a night in Westin Hotel. You know why? Well because their currency is much higher #duh haha, and other thing is that they provided remarkable service. Their interior shows the simplistic beauty of a 5-​star hotel, Classy yet Modern not to mention their amazing ambient — cozy and comfy. One that took my breath away, rooms. Their rooms are specially design that allows any home accessories to glow. if you worry about their bed? Don’t, they are extremely comfortable, It felt like I was wrapped into the most cozy mattress of all time. Plus, their toilet are well design and enormous. Who doesn’t like a spacious and luxurious toilet? Right? FYI, It cost only RM 350 to RM 400 Per night/​room !!! However, I am not sure with their food. Though, I would love to try one day
