Nestled in Starhill Gallery amongst the ultra luxury retail stores you will find Starhill Tea Salon. Me and my boyfriend love going to these fancy tea places so we decided to try it on a whim one evening when we were walking through Starhill. We saw that they had churros and we both love churros so we knew it was fate. Alas these were pretty much the worst churros we’ve ever had. They just tasted like greasy deep friend dough with no flavour, albeit they were nicely presented. For such a nice looking place and in the most luxury mall in KL, I’d expect better. I am willing to go there again though, but I’d skip the churros next time. Big disappointment.

If you love eating macarons like me, you have to try the ones here! Forget the ones at TWG and even Laduree. The macarons here definitely beats all of them flat. They have 12 flavors to choose from and each and everyone of them are like none other. The macarons here aren’t too sweet and perfect in texture. It’s slightly chewy and the shell doesn’t crumble all over but just enough so it melts in your mouth. The macarons are also generously filled with fillings which is absolutely wonderful. The price might be slightly steep but definitely worth it’s worth. The tea and fresh juices here are also the very best. Don’t forget to try their Spanish churros while you’re here. Personally I think it taste a bit like yau char kway but it really goes well with the chocolate dipping sauce. Being surrounded by many designer shops such as Louis Vuitton, this place also oozes class with its lovely cushioned sofas and armchairs. You’ll also see many rich aunties here with their designer bags and outfits having tea.
