Everytime I go shopping at Mid Valley or even at any mall, I have to buy back Sister’s Crispy Popiah because my whole family loves it. SCP is a popiah chain kiosk you can find at most malls nowadays and it sells handmade popiah. It used to be just original and spicy flavour but now you can add different ingredients to it such as egg, chicken and crab. It is a very tasty snack that is filling too! Sometimes when I dont feel like having a heavy meal when I’m out, I opt for SCP just to fill my tummy. I usually just take the original flavour because it has always bee my favourite. Overall, SCP is a very good popiah joint and I would recommend it to everyone!

Sisters Crispy Popiah originated from Imbi Market at Jalan Imbi. The original stall there still gets massive queue’s especially on weekend mornings. However now they have little kiosks in several malls around the Klang valley. I would say that the original popiah at Imbi is still the best, maybe because thats made by the owners themselves. The other kiosks are run by workers mostly Indonesian and maybe they don’t put in enough effort in making the popiah taste the same as the original one. When I crave popiah this is still one of my go to stalls especially if im in a mall and i know there’s a stall nearby. I dont remember the prices but i think its about RM5 for two popiahs. The best thing about this popiah is the cracker that they add to the popiah to give it a crunch and come texture. Thats what makes it stand out from the rest.

It is true that I have never liked«Popiah» cuisines in my life especially those authentic and traditionally made«Popiah». Sister’s Crispy Popiah is definitely an exception, they are probably the only Popiah that I will gladly consume. One thing that I find it fascinating is that their Popiah is really crispy which is totally opposite of the usual authentic popiah’s. They have been in the Malaysian market for quite sometime already and they are known for their awesome crispy Popiah. I would always buy their crispy Popiah whenever I’m in a rush and needed a quick bite. Other than that, be sure to consume your crispy Popiah immediately to avoid it being soggy and lose it’s crisp. Recently I noticed that they have been increasing their prices and I find that it’s no longer that value for money already. Personally if you’re looking for a quick bite and really like crispy stuff, Sisters Crispy Popiah is definitely worth a try and besides, who can resist their crispy Popiah?

Sister Crispy Popiah have been around for many years now. I still remember that I discovered Crispy Popiah back in my college time. Ever since my discovery, I had them so often(almost every week). FYI, I’m always a popiah person. Hence, ever since their existence, I became their loyal supporter for the obvious reason, because they’re delicious! They are different from the conventional popiah in terms of the ingredients used. One of the special ingredients that differentiate them and the ordinary popiah is the crunchy thingy that makes their popiah crispy. Sister Crispy Popiah is a great place to get a quick bite because it’s easy and fast to make. Besides, it is also quite healthy as it is mainly made of veggies. However, I find that nowadays their price have increase quite significantly as compared to my college time. Crispy Popiah used to be a cheap and quick snack. Now it’s only quick. If you like popiah and haven’t try them out yet, what are you waiting for?

I’m an avid consumer of all things that comes in rolls, spring rolls, sushi rolls, you name it. So when this little joint appeared, I just had to try it out. It’s a little stall but, do not be fooled, a lot of people come here. To my delight, there’s a lot of vegan, if not vegetarian, options of the menu. If you’re vegan like me, you can simply just replace eggs with more vegetables or just stray away from egg products. I like the classic ‘Popiah’ a lot. The prices here are reasonable. One roll could be as low as RM4.50. They also do have set deals during lunch hours too which you could get it for about RM10.

I am a sucker for snacks, and the ones with flour and dough slapped all over vegetables or meat. For Sister Crispy Popiah, I am all in for it. Their popiahs may look deceptively normal, but it is actually pretty tasty. Firstly, it is, well, crispy, with vegetables, a little bit of sauce and crushed peanuts that helps to compliment its texture. You can eat it with a little bit of meat, but we all know that Popiah is supposed to be a healthy snack right? Besides, the original flavor itself tastes awesome, and speaks for itself, so there you go. Go there with an empty stomach, and you’ll go for seconds. Go there with a full one, and you’ll go for thirds. That, I can attest.

Located in the Lower Ground Floor of Gardens, is a small kiosk that sells the most amazing spring rolls(popiah) that I have ever tasted. I tried the plain flavoured popiah, crispy popiah. They have 3 flavors to pick from, prawn, chicken &cheese, and crab stick. Decided to go with crispy popiah because I enjoy the natural taste of popiah by itself. This kiosk made its name by making the crunchiest popiahs. What I love about their popiahs is the right balance of ingredients, they do not skimp on ingredients and you get your value for money. Shredded cucumbers, turnip, sprinkled with crunchy fried flour batter is wrapped in a thin skin made of wheat and is served in a plastic tray. The sauce is not too spicy or empowering, it has the right amount of sauce to hold the ingredients together. Sadly, a piece would set you back about RM3.20 which is expensive for a roll. Being a kiosk, it is convenient for a quick grab and the staffs are efficient at preparing fresh popiahs upon order.

This is a place I come when I need a guilty pleasure. The cripsy popiah has been around for sometime. There are no secrets here, it’s your usual popiah, top up with crunchy, deep-fried biscuits(hence, the guilt). It’s definitely a no-fuss, your easy go-to place for a quick bite. What’s better is the staff makes it fresh in front of you. And I gave their cleaniless a A+

Need I say more? This review practically writes itself! But ill try anyways. Anyone who’s been living in KL or in the proximity of The Klang Valley knows of this particular Popiah Place(LOL Popiah Place: PP, yes I’m 4…) they serve the most delicious, crunchy, delicious, crunchy Popiahs in town. Had to say it twice so you guys completely understand me. Me and my sister used to have fights over who gets the last piece of this deliciousness and after sometime we decided to get a pack each for ourselves. Cannot share, later fight. If you and a friend ever decide to share one pack, be ready to sever that tie come the last piece. That’s how seriously delicious the end piece is. My sister and I could never make out what the ingredients are, even after careful observation in the last 50 times we went there. The one ingredient that we could never make out if the fried golden cruton-like nuggets that they so sparingly scatter before rolling up the Popiahs. Its impolite to ask people what their secret ingredients are isn’t it? So I guess we’ll never know. If you ever get tired with any of your friends and want to rid yourself of him or her, bring them to this place and let the magic happen.

This place is an on the go kind of place, which means you can pick an awesome delicious Malaysian snack on the go. the staff is really nice! it’s takes less than 5 min for you to be served unless if there is a line. Their best roll is the crispy Popiah with chicken and cheese, so delicious, decent price, I mean less than 5 rm. that is really epic! I also recommend to take too because one will probably not be enough!

If you are not too hungry, but your tummy wants something small, then it’s time for a snack! The best I can suggest in Mid Valley mega mall is — Sister Crispy Popiah. You can find it on the ground floor right in front of Pizza Hut. Their crispy popiah is just super good! They only provide to go option and you wont get a table to sit, but it’s good in a way, because there are never queue’s and you are served right on a spot. It is really cheap, around 3.40RM and you will be served by a very professional staff! If you’ve never tried popiah before, your very first time should be at Sister Crispy Popiah! :)
