Shucked Oyster & Seafood Bar

Our coastlines might not be the greatest for these sea creatures but thanks to the BIG group we need not worry! These bounty hunters source out the plumpest & most palatable for your slurping pleasure. However oysters are not the only stars of shucked. There is a whole range of fresh seafood options than can tease ones taste buds.
Be sure to try the shrimp cocktail which is made out of prawns in a shot glass, the salmon gavlax but the best of all would be the Australian smoked trout which is served with bread & butter. The prices here are pretty steep so make sure your wallets prepared. It could easily coast you approximately RM 100 per person to sample some good oysters & wine. The seating is limited here so you might have to wait to get shucked! Well worth the try!

Oysters are the kind of food that you either love it or hate it, because of its unique texture and taste. Personally, I love oyster a lot. I would either eat it with a squeeze of lemon or with some hot sauce to spice things up a little.
If you love oysters or seafood as much as me, then I would recommend you to try out Shucked. At Shucked, they are all about fresh oysters and seafood. What I like about Shucked is the varieties of oysters you’ll get from here. They have 4 different oysters — West Mersea, Irish Premium, Creuss No.3, and Fines de Claire. I’m not too sure if they’ll change the selections, but these are the ones that I came across.
If you are not an oyster fan, they have row and smoked fish on the menu too. The more common ones are smoked salmon and ocean trout sashimi. I’m not a fan of smoked fishes, so my favourite would be the sashimi and salmon gravadlax. Majority of their smoked dishes are served with bread and butter.
Apart from these, Shucked offer sandwiches if you want something filling, and hot seafood if you prefer cooked food. The sandwiches a.k.a Smorrebrod include atlantic prawns, salmon tartare, smoked mackerel pâté and many more. For the hot seafood, you’ll find dishes such as grilled fish of the day, mussles, and smoked haddock chowder.
Shucked is an open-​concept bar where you’ll get to watch the chef work their magic and interact with them if you like to. The pricing at Shucked is definitely expensive but I think the pricing is justifiable with the quality of food and service they are providing.

How much do I love oysters? I love them way more than myself. This place is like the Jerusalem for me.
Why? Because this place serves the freshest and cheapest oysters in town and possibly in this nation. Plus, the service here is great. The timing and everything is perfect.

A bar full of luxuries if you ask me — I’m myself a big fan of fresh oysters and seafood, so I have always been liking this place. However, if you are not someone who likes oysters, then this might not be exactly the place that you will want to visit, because they are serious about serving the fresh ones here and they have a whole range of it — refer the their website here:

However, if your friends doesn’t like raw seafood, they do serve cooked and hot seafood here as well, so no worries, and you don’t have to compromise on good food like this.
They actually have another branch inside the Ben’s Independent Grocer with similar concept. I find this branch equally good as well and sometimes less crowded.
On top of their ala carte, they do have special sets here, so do ask from their staff regarding that, it’s always good to get some good deals right.
Their bar here is more like an open concept bar, and you will you have audience while you are slurping on your oysters — slurppy! So, make sure that you don’t mind that, I personally think that it’s fine.
Prices here are not cheap, but again you would want to pay a little more for fresh oysters right. After all, I don’t dare to eat seafood here if it’s too cheap as I would actually doubt its freshness.
Overall, great ambience, okay service, fair price, lovely food — definitely coming back again!
