Anyone of you would have heard of Shihlin Taiwan Street — the top of mind Taiwanese street snack for everyone to go. I came to know this place when I was introduced to try their best-seller XXL Crispy Chicken. No doubt, that didn’t let me down but as years passed on, I feel their standard has dropped and not all their outlets offer the same quality. The outlet in Publika still serves it well. Occasionally, I do also try their Handmade Oyster Mee Sua which is also one of their favourite items in the menu. If you haven’t been to Taiwan, then this is something that you should try. Hello, obviously I am right, correct? Taipei’s Shihlin Night Market is known for its wide range of local delicacies in its small streets and alleys. You even have the local Taiwanese say, «If Taiwan has it, Shihlin has it.»

Pricey cheeky fried chicken snack. Don’t expect to be extraordinary cause it ain’t fancy, ain’t delicious. The only thing that you would come in mind when you take your first bite is SPICY! That’s it! THEEND!!! Their fried chicken is not fresh, hey used to be my number one place to eat but no longer the case. Shilin Taiwan Street snack are really nasty especially if you’re non-spicy kind of guy/girl. Plus, they would KILL you with their spices, making your tongue to numb and pain. Today I went with my brother, I ordered a crispy fried chicken and seafood tempura. It sure tasty if they WOULDN’t have put so much spices and fresher chicken. As for the seafood tempura, instead of putting the pepper or sweet plum as their topping, they literally put spice powder EVEN I have been countlessly requesting for NON-SPICY. What makes me more frustrating is that the staff deny my request of slicing my crispy fried chicken and creating a scene with me!!!(you know what I mean) It’s really frustrating enough when you gave the wrong order initially and now this. This is really too much to bear! I am sorry but this is really crossing the line. If it was you, what would you do?
