I’ve eaten at Restoran Santa no less than ten times now and I’ve literally never had a bad experience. It’s a model restaurant in terms of quality of food and service. It’s primarily a chapatti house and you’ll find the staff grilling chapatti on the spot just at the restaurant entrance. The chapattis are soft and warm, and are perfect accompaniments to the curries on display. The must-try side dish is the mutton keema which is basically minced mutton in thick, spicy gravy. The stuff of wizards. The staff are always accommodating too despite how busy the restaurant gets at lunchtime. Unlike many mamak and Indian shops, they’re never grouchy which I reckon is down to the owner’s demeanour. Santa is a restaurant I never want to see shut down.
