I sometimes find myself here, sitting to the still nothingness as I let the afternoon pass by as I thoroughly enjoy a hot cup of Lemon Ginger Tea with their Apple-Raisin Strudel. These are the things that are blissful in life. The pastries here are really good. I wouldn’t go for the macaroons here to be honest. Too sweet and it has that ‘artificial’ flavor to it which isn’t what I fancy. However, the breads here are good. Not a fan of bread myself, but this would be an exception. They also do have savory options like their Tuna-stuffed Croissant, some sandwiches and what not. The staff here are very friendly too. They always serve me with a smile, without fail. Prices here are more upper-scale but hey, everyone deserves a treat, right?

PASTRIES! Gotta thank the person behind pastries. Delifrance has been my all time favorite bakery as I was a kind. I used to stare and wonder what the colorful bottles of Spirit were. I’m still wondering for your information. Serving a wide array of pastries and in my opinion the best Danish pastries, do expect to pay a little more than your average bakery. However you can expect to receive the best quality breads and pastries.

If you are looking for an authentic French place, you journey has ended. Delifrance Café-Bakery offers traditional European breads, French pastries, and signature sandwiches to eat in or take away. You can also count on them to serve piping hot meals and delicious desserts for all-day dining. The interior design is inspired after the causal Parisian bistros, creating a comfortable, welcoming feel. Delifrance is like a contemporary French bakery and café that merge simplicity, authenticity and traditional bakeries atmosphere together with jovial, trendy and casual Parisian coffee place. Apart from their traditional best-sellers like freshly-baked delectable tarts and pastries, which are perennial favourites of Malaysian; Délifrance is also introducing some popular items such as cupcakes and macaroons and quiches. I served here a delicious Chicken Lasagna. Overall: You can definitely pay a visit to this place.

Deli France is a great French café shop chain with the delicious menu. I’ve visited the Avenue K outlet multiple times and had really good experiences every time. They serve coffee, and a variety of sandwiches teas and pastries. I personally love their beef lasagna and the black pepper sausage. The service was quite nice and proactive, which I appreciate. I recommend stopping by Délifrance if you are in for a quick meal.

Here’s the thing, I had been eyeing a magnificent pair of white jeans in Topshop(and a few other items) for quite a while last year and was waiting for them to go on a discount before acquiring them. Imagine my thrill when I got an email from them saying that there would be a private sale for members in the next week. My eyes almost rolled to the back of m head and I was lightly frothing at the mouth. I was so excited that on the day itself I came to Mid Valley at 9:30 in the morning! No shops were opened yet, I found a sweet little parking spot right next to the entrance(which was a nearly impossible feat) and I was happily sashaying my way to the first floor. Realizing that I was waaay to eager for a pair of jeans, I decided to have a little bit of breakfast first before going into battle with other less-than-refined-when-it-came-to-sales fashionistas. I caught a whiff of delicious newly-cooked bread and pastries and followed my nose to Delifrance. No shops were opened yet but thank God Delifrance was. They had to open early because no bakery opens late in France(my typical rationale.) I asked the nice lady at the counter what time they opened and she said 9am. Great. I ordered a tuna mayo sandwich on a croissant(because I was feeling a little French) and a cup of tea(although not feeling very English) and took a seat at one of the many chic booths that had and fondled with my phone while waiting for my food. The sandwich was delicious! There’s something about Delifrance always seem to be getting their croissants right. They understand croissants, they speak the language of croissants. They are nice and light, not too buttery and with just the right amount of softness and crunch as you take your first bite. But enough about croissants, I had a magnificent pair of skinny jeans to buy!

I’ve been to this place in France and the Netherlands and I definitely expected to feel an immense difference once I visited Delifrance in Malaysia. To my very surprise, I was not able to tell the difference of their Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread. It tasted exactly the same on two different sides of the world. It really made me feel like home. :) If you want to feel like you’re in France for an afternoon — try their fresh cuisine dishes. However even though they managed to top the taste of Fresh cuisine, they are far behind to reach the French service level. But you can’t expect too much, it’s not a 5 star restaurant. :) Enjoy!
