In case some may not know. Ayam Penyet(smashed chicken) is an Indonesian(east Javanese cuisine) which is a fried chicken dish which consist of a fried chicken being smashed with the pestle against a mortar to make it softer, and is served with with a red chili spicy sambal, slices of cucumbers, fried tofu and tempeh. Ayam Penyet Wong Solo is definitely the BEST ayam penyet around town. What makes a good ayam penyet meal? Well to me firstly is the sambal and then the chicken. the chicken has to be marinated and fried in such a way that it does not take over the sambal and of course smashed to perfection… and the sambal has got to be spicy! Now Ayam Penyet Wong Solo is just that! Oh yes. scalp itching, breaking out in sweats spicy! Indoensian food is generally spicy anyway. So go on. and get your heat on with Ayam Penyet Wong Solo

This is one of my favorite foods during the rainy days. Its AYAMPENYET which is very spicy and and crispy chicken. They will served you with hot rice. I start to eat this kind of food since last 3 years ago. Where this kind of foods just about famous about that time. So i wanted to tried because the recipe originally from Indonesia. Those workers who works here also from Indon too. For those who can speak Indon they will reply with indonesia back. There culture is there. I can see people from different states and different background came here just to tried the ‘ayam penyet’ and ‘ayam bakar’ It’s was superb. For those who didn’t eat spicy foods i suggest you order lots of water. while for the drinks you have to try the ‘SODAGEMBIRA’.It is actually a syrup and soda and put some milk in that drinks. For me the price is reasonable and still can afford it even in GST. hhaha. It is located at Taman Dagang, Ampang. They have Indonesia style and the workers attire are unique. If you come during the peak hours sure you have to wait for your queue. you can make reservation especially during the schoold holidays and fasting months. overall this indonesian foods is superb and spicy lovers you must try!
