Went to Arthur’s Bar and Grill to celebrate my brother’s birthday, and I fell in love with the place almost immediately. It’s a typical Manhattan style bar and grill, where you can let your hair down and have a casual dinner over a nice meal. While waiting for our meal to be served, complimentary bread was served. I love when my bread served warm — nice crust on the outside with a chewy texture. The bread was served with sundried tomatoes to be paired with. We had the Smoked Salmon with Capers as our appetizer. I did not expect the portion to be big as I was expecting to see a few thinly-sliced smoked salmon on a plate. However, this wasn’t the case. The salmon was smoky and the each portion was satisfyingly big. During the month we visited, they had Prime Rib on their menu. My brother just had to try it out! The prime rib was served on Yorkshire pudding along with fat fries, grilled tomato, sautéed green beans, Béarnaise sauce and beef jus. The meat was tender and juicy, and the Yorkshire pudding was crunchy and eggy. I’m a sucker when it comes to tenderloin. I decided to have their Beef Tenderloin to be done medium rare with sautéed asparagus and fat fries, with chipotle butter sauce. The meat was tender, but I could do without the sautéed asparagus. Overall, it was a satisfying meal at reasonable price too. You would be surprised how much we paid — RM170.50 for 2 drinks(1 beer), 1 appetizer and 2 main courses. Not too bad, huh!
