Oh, how every dining experience in Malaysia is such a gamble! I had lunch with my girlfriend and her mother here some time back and it was a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, solid service. A few months later, a return trip yielded us miserable service(where even calling for the bill means waiting for fifteen minutes, despite there being no more than four or five tables occupied), some of the most shockingly oily and greasy food ever(don’t go for the omelette), and even a simple staple like pineapple fried rice done wrong.

Absolute Thai is probably one of the more well received Thai cuisine chain-restaurants in Malaysia. I have been to this awesome restaurant a quite sometime already, they are previously known as Flying Chillies before they rebranded as Absolute Thai. At Absolute Thai, you can actually sample some fine thai cuisines which is fairly good in my opinion. One thing that truly set this thai restaurant from it’s counterparts is that they have a very good customer service, their waiters/waitresses are friendly and attentive, combined with a great environment really makes it enjoyable having lunch/dinner here. Almost during all my visits here are mainly with a group of friends and we had a great time here, good food, good service, great environment and great company! My favourite dishes here are their Pineapple Fried Rice and their Paad Thai. I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

I love thai food!!! Absolute thai has actually two locations in Mid Valley one on the higher floor and on on LG. They are actually slightly different in how they cook their dishes but the menu is the same. At times they even have a lunch special for only RM11 and the food is pretty good. If you are very particular about how the dish is made ask before you order as you may find that the dish is not what you expected. Their main courses price out at an average of RM20 and one of my favourites is the pineapple fried rice. The also have some amazing home made ice cream and I suggest you try the deep fried one :)

Being a self-proclaimed Thai food critic, I tend to look much deeper into the menu instead of just the ambiance. The layout in any restaurant plays a vital role however when it comes to Thai food, you would want to taste all the herbs & spices that bring you back to the bustling streets of Bangkok. Absolute Thai offers thai food with slight modifications. They are definitely an up market thai restaurant with their steep prices, your lips wont be the only thing burning, get your wallets prepared! In terms of the food, I would label them as average. After visiting the place twice, I found the soups to be more watered down & the portions to be much lesser. Not one of my favorites.

Absolute Thai at the Garden previously known as Flying Chillies, their menu is similar to Thai Thai. Most of the foods and beverages in the menu are the same. Probably because they are from the same organization behind the story. I personally prefer their Tom Yum soup here and Thai style steam fish. Sour and spicy at the same time is really appetizing. It’s a must order food every time I’m here. The reason why I prefer Absolute Thai at The Garden because the restaurant is bigger where they expand the dining place outside the restaurant. So more seat available. I always make reservation before I go and they really hold it for you even though sometimes I’m late. Although the foods is not cheap but it’s worth to visit for the quality foods and services.

This place used to be ‘Flying Chilli’ instead of Absolute Thai. They are still the same restaurant, only change of name. This is one of my favorite Thai restaurant. When I’m here with my hubby, we will usually order a pineapple fried rice and a phad thai to share because when it’s only the two of us, we couldn’t order much. However, whenever we have company, we will order dishes to go with rice. Been here a few times with different bunch of friends. The most recent one was today. My girlfriends wanted to celebrate my birthday in advance, hence we came for dinner. 3 couples spending some quality time together over Absolute Thai’s yummilicious food. Yums! As we grow older, the chances of spending quality time with friends became lesser and every moments was truly treasured. We had a great time there over their delicious food. Their service was very good. Although the waiters were super busy, they didn’t show us any attitude whenever we ask for help. They even helped us to take some group pictures with a smile. Aside from that, although the restaurant was packed with people, their service was quite fast. We are served in less than half an hour after we placed our orders. I’m impressed. Will absolutely come to this branch the next time I’m craving for Thai food. P/S: do make reservation especially during weekend!

My favorite Thai restaurant in town! Absolute Thai does everything right and spot on. If you can’t take spicy(then why eat Thai food?) this is not the one for you. h of The interior is modern with a touch of Thai, there’s nothing too fancy and elaborate here. The menu is as extensive as it is delicious. Must-tries include the panda chicken, clear tom yam soup, green curry and steamed fish! We almost order the same thing everytime we visit and Absolute Thai absolutely did not disappoint.

If you are craving for some good thai food and that you are ready to splurge on yourself, do check out this absolute thai outlet in the gardens mall. With the extravagant interior, the place is rather classy. It has some seats outside across the shop as well, which looks very cozy for a afternoon cuppa ginger lemongrass tea. The price might be on the slightly expensive side in comparison to other thai restaurants, but they are being popular for their really good seafood tom yum here. If you’re ordering their large size tom yum, it’s good for sharing. One of their specialty drink here would be their lemongrass juice, very humble and nerve calming beverage — especially good after a long day at work, or even a long day at the mall shopping, haha. However, i dont really like their mango sticky rice dessert here as i found it a bit too milky and the sticky rice too hard. Anyway, the place overall is good! Will come back again.

Besides the Basil thai restaurant on Bangsar Village, Absolute Thai is my second favourite Thai place. In any Thai restaurant I visit, I always seem to judge the place based on their Green Curry, and let me tell you, this place does not disappoint. I loved pretty much everything I tried. I always ask for a plain Omelette with onions and somehow it always tastes way better than what I make at home(maybe its the Thai Sauce that accompanies it?). Be warned though, Absolute Thai is definitely significantly more pricier than most Thai restaurants. So be prepared to pay a pretty penny for your Thai delicacies.

This restaurant more on the pricey side but I must admit that the food is rather tasty so it may be well worth it if you’re a Thai food fan. Their house specialty drinks in general are good but my personal favorite is their thai iced coffee which tastes rather interesting and different from the usual coffee we are use to. A good appetizer to order for a group of you would be the fish cakes. But I don’t mind skipping appetizers to save space for the amazing main course that awaits me. My personal must have is their chicken green curry because the curry is just so creamy and also the japanese bean curd in red sauce. The pandan leaves chicken is also quite tasty but can be a bit oily. As for dessert, the red ruby waterchestnuts in coconut milk is fantastic.

There are so many Asian restaurants in this mall. Before I thought that all of them are downstairs, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover more options in above floors. One of the restaurants I like is Absolute Thai. I really like that they have a good service, where waiters acknowledge your existence the very same second and you are introduced to a menu. Later on they will kindly offer you water and fill it up whenever you take a sip. However, I had trouble to order, because one waiter wasn’t really able to speak english, but they were really kind and got another waiter to help us out. :) I really liked cinnamon chicken curry and my friend enjoyed rice in a pineapple! Enjoy your meal. :)
