8 Ounce Coffee

There’s not much choices inside the mall for a good cuppa and 8 ounce doesnt disappoint! A good place for a catch up with good coffee and cakes.

While hipster-​ish cafés are at the burgeon in KL right now, I have to say that there are not a lot of them in this particular mall itself. 4-​Stars, for they are serving the blend that’s of my preference — I might even give 4.5 in fact (the blend tastes slightly flowery with a subtle nutty hint, rich and not too bitter that you can’t taste the scent of the beans themselves)
Okay, here comes the ‘But’. This café is almost at all times crowded and sometimes so crowded the baristas won’t make you your coffee — if you would like to have your coffee there, and there is just simply no more seats for you. So then, you would have the choice to either order a coffee to-​go, or you would need to go without the coffee. Sad, no? Those are the times when you would stare at those who are sitting comfortable on the benches sipping their coffee away looking out at the cars passing by. Don’t hate them, you might be one of them at times ;)
One thing that I felt weird about the place is their loyalty card that’s only applicable to coffee, and coffee only. By saying this, I actually got told that I can’t get a stamp on my card because I ordered iced chocolate. Honestly, that appeared as really weird to me, now you’re being serious here? But, apart from this small ‘glitch’ I still like the place.

For awhile, it was worth paying the occasional RM13 for their hot chocolate and mocha because of the chocolate used (not too sweet, just to my liking). I had a hot chocolate recently, and now I take that back. I don’t know if they changed the chocolate, or it was just a consistency thing.
That said, they have other milk options like low fat if you don’t want to go full fat in your drinks.

8 ounce coffee bar is probably one of the outlets in Mid Valley/​The Gardens that I find the most significant to me (personally). I never really liked shopping (I guess it’s probably the same with most guy’s i think?), but when I’m here shopping with my other half or my family, I will always make it an effort to at least get a cup of coffee from 8 ounce coffee bar.
Honestly, I find it hard to be able to savour a proper cup of coffee especially in a shopping mall (to be honest, all chain coffee stores doesn’t count!). It was truly god sent that this massive shopping mall comes equipped with a proper coffee bar like 8 ounce. Besides being able to enjoy a great cup of coffee, 8 ounce is also blessed with a bright and amazing location which is located at the glass bridge that connects both of the shopping malls.
Next time if you’re here shopping and in need of a fixed (I meant coffee not the other mumbo jumbo…), you can definitely head over to 8 ounce coffee bar and you will never regret it!

I’ve just had a really nice experience at this café. I had to wait for a friend who is going to join me so I decided to grab some coffee while I waited.
I ordered an Americano which was delicious, for a reasonable price. They have free Wi-​Fi but you have to visit their Facebook page and you can be conned into liking it against your will so beware.
That aside, the service was good on the ambience was quite okay considering what they are going for. I didn’t eat there but I noticed they had a variety of pastries and salty treats if you’re hungry. Overall a nice experience and I will be coming back in the future.

Couldn’t resist but to write a review about this place. 8 Ounce Café is situated in The Gardens Mall’s bridge linking The Gardens Mall to Mid Valley Mega Mall (opposite TGIF).
It’s a nice place to stop by for a cuppa decent hand crafted coffee after a long day of shopping. Or perhaps a boost before shopping spree? Usually I’ll just have a cuppa latte to go after shopping. :D
Partly because they have limited seat. Oh and I love their latte.
Pssstt… guys (boyfriend /​hubby), this place is a nice place to chill while waiting for your other half to shop. Oh! They serve cakes too (mille crepes, Yumms!).
By the way, if you forgot to bring your cash, there’s ATM machines nearby too! Hehe.

My first question when a friend of mine suggested 8 Ounce Coffee was, «Why would we only want 8 ounces of coffee, Rebecca?»
Admittedly, not one of my brightest moments.
In my defense however, it is a rather peculiar name for a café, don’t ya think? Anyway, we made our way to the Gardens for a quick boost before a shopping session. It was a rather ordinary looking shop, but their kaleidoscopic arrangement of desserts was well planned. I decided on a hot latte which was artistically presented and cost me only RM12. It tasted all right, nothing that required headlines, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Overall, it was your basic café experience. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking to keep your coffee budget to a minimum, but if you’re on the hunt for spectacular, you should keep a look out for other options.

8 Ounce Coffee is the kind of thing that your copacetic girlfriend might like if she is ever into that sort of thing, and those are the cafes you generally avoid unless you cannot help it.
I, uh, might be wrong about that.
Of course, due to the fact that I have no money, I only tried their latte, and it is pretty decent. Ambience-​wise, it looked like between a hare’s hideout and a sex addict’s painting, which is not necessarily a bad thing if you are, well, into that sort of thing.
I am joking of course. I always joke so as to escape the impending fact that my reviews are usually cynical, and totally unbiased by the fact that they sell just ‘decent’ coffee. Ha. Ha.

8 ounce coffee is a cute little place that serves coffee’s and cakes. I personally thought their coffee’s were rich and aromatic, just the way i like it. I had the latte and throughly enjoyed it. Its self service as with many coffee places, you order and you collect your drink. They have a pretty nice selection of cakes although i didn’t try any. This place is pretty on par with many other café’s although i thought it was a tad bit cheaper.

This café is located on the bridge of Gardens, Mid Valley, which is quite odd honestly. It is a small café and its layout is not the most comfortable. It can get pretty noisy because of all the people that pass by along the bridge.
The coffee and the crêpe cakes there are pretty good. If you’re ever in the mood to check it out, I would say they’re original crêpe cake tastes really good and it goes great with they’re cappuccino.
