I have seen my friends posting pictures of this — so I had to check it out! I went for their signature coconut ice cream served in a coconut husk — it was RM9.90 for four scoops and you can choose three toppings. Also, some coconut flesh that came with the husk. I thought it was refreshing and the coconut ice cream was good — not too sweet and definitely didn’t taste«fake». However,(this is an unpopular opinion) I didn’t think it was that great — and wasn’t worth the price of RM9.90. I guess it’s worth trying if you haven’t or if you just feel like buying yourself something nice on an exceptionally hot day.

If there one thing that I absolutely love is having a coconut drink on a hot day, but what’s even better is to have a husk(yep you read it right) of coconut ice-cream. Mind you, it is not flavoured but genuine coconut ice-cream. It is divine. The signature coconut ice-cream, signature meaning that it is served in a husk with some coconut flesh at the bottom, cost RM9.90. It is expensive, but definitely worth it. I went back for seconds the next day and would go back for thirds if I had the money. Another thing worth pointing out is that you get to topped your ice-cream with corn kernels, dessicated coconuts, and crushed peanuts. The dessicated coconuts and crushed peanuts is a must(if you’re not allergic to peanuts)! There is something about the combination that is just right. If you prefer not to have the husk and coconut flesh, you can get just the four scoops of ice-creams in a cup. The scoops are relatively smaller than normal, but still worth the try.

Sangkaya serves the famous thai coconut ice cream. They are several different ways you can order this. The signature ice cream is served in half a coconut with the flesh and four scoops of ice cream. The also have just one scoop in a cone, or three scoops in a cup. The best is of course the signature and it costs rm9.90 but is so worth it. You also get to choose two toppings to go with your signature ice cream. I was super excited when i saw the stall up at Ampang Point. I’ve heard about this place but didn’t know it was opening so close by. I have it almost every time i go to Ampang Point and that is pretty often! The ice cream is creamy and rich and taste 100% of coconut which is why i love it so much. This place is the best place to head to after a meal at Ampang Point for some sweet dessert.

I’m in love with the co-co! LOL. Coconut ice cream that is! Coconut ice-cream served in a mini coconut shell. Super yummy and super cute! You know how food sometimes looks absolutely yummy with how they serve it or their packaging looks like but taste horrid?! Well Sangkaya Coconut Ice-cream is definitely NOT one of them. Their coconut ice-cream is super creamy yet refreshing at the same time. It’s so good that i could have it everyday(but thats not going to happen, gotta watch em’ calories) but if i could i would! LOL. Their signature serving is 4 generous scoops of their coconut ice-cream with 3 toppings of choice such as oats, corn flakes, nuts, beans and corn which is served in a coconut husk with flesh strips of coconut. All of that for RM9.90.(aint that heaven) If you havent tried them already is about time that you do. Besides Ampang point you may also find them at Jalan Alor and Jaya One. Their store in Ampang Point is open daily from 10am-10pm.
