Ron Herman is billed as an authentic Los Angeles clothes store. They apparently do have a few stores in LA, but I’d never heard of them during my time living there. It really reminds me of Fred Segal. Even down to the café inside. So I’ll split my review into two parts, first the clothes, then the café. The store: In my opinion, it’s overpriced. Most of the stuff there is tailored to locals who want wants something«authentic» from the U.S. As an American, I don’t find it particularly authentic. ¥8,000 yen for a sweater that costs $ 20 in the states isn’t my sort of thing. My other critique is that half of the stuff there is just items that have English words printed on them that don’t really have any specific meaning. Now, that doesn’t mean that they don’t offer anything good there. They do offer some things you won’t find anywhere else. Just be prepared to pay a lot for it. The food: By now, you’re probably wondering why I gave this place four stars. What can I say, the food here is pretty good. They offer some pretty good salads, along with some staple bar foods, such as fish and chips, burgers, and hot dogs. The prices are still a bit high, but in Japan, it’s almost expected. Just be careful though, as they do tend to get a bit crowded on the weekends during lunch time. TLDR: clothes are expensive, food is good, but a bit pricey.
