This was my first UNIQLO experience, my friends in Tokyo recommended it, and now back in the USA I’m also hooked. If you aren’t familiar with UNIQLO it is similar to brands such as Gap or H&M. UNIQLO offers good quality, stylish clothes at affordable prices. UNIQLO is about«Apparel that is of the time and for the time.» Not only all of that — but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. If you are familiar with UNIQLO from outside of Japan, you will find many items that aren’t available elsewhere, and also unique colors of items that available elsewhere.

Enter the store and be greeted by every Uniqlo employee… happiness. An Aussie in Uniqlo… heaven! Prices are about ½ to 1⁄3 off the prices in Australia. Good quality basics and even some trendy clothes such as jeans, shirts, cute skirts!

Are you kidding me? Can one give Uniqlo a lower rating? This place is the absolute bomb! Spread out over 2 floors, this branch in Shibuya is extremely well stocked and always has all the sizes. You have not been to Japan if you haven’t shopped in Uniqlo. You have not shopped if you don’t own one of their heat tech tops. Those things are keeps me warm all winter.

This UNIQLO blew my mind(and I don’t even think it’s the biggest Tokyo outpost either). I returned twice just to take in the entire selection. Say what you will about UNIQLO in the US or the UK, it’s so much better in Japan! A couple of pointers to help you in your shopping journey here: DRESSINGROOMS Take off your shoes foreigners! I made the mistake of wandering into the dressing room with boot clad feet and oh the horror! Leave your shoes outside of your dressing room, that’s how it’s done in Japan. SIZING If you normally shop at UNIQLO in the US, go up a size when buying in their Japanese stores(if you wear a S at home, you’re probably a M here).
