大田区役所小学校池雪

I had visited this elementary school as a curriculum of my English course in my college. My international friends from all over the world and I had a warm welcoming from students and teachers of this school and they gave us two lesson times and after that we had a school lunch with kids and it was really lovely. This event is basically for us and elementary school kids. For us, we would like to know how Japanese elementary school like and what students are because about 80% of us are not Japanese and they are curious about Japanese culture and system. And for elementary school kids, they can have an opportunity to meet the foreigners and can ask questions of their countries and anything. Some of them cannot speak Japanese, so kids tried to communicate in English or they used body language to tell what they wanted to say. We played some international Japanese games together, like tops and cards and cup and ball. Some of them read an English book for us. For me, when we had a school lunch it reminded me of my old school days. The school lunch had not changed much since I was a student. The taste was similar and the dish and chopsticks are almost the same. For those reasons I have a special memory of this elementary school and would, like to share my experience here.
