This place is slightly more difficult to find than many of the vegan/vegetarian places I visited in Tokyo, just because it feels like it’s on the 4th floor of an office building. Definitely take note of the instructions on Happy Cow when looking for the building. As for the food, it was ok but nothing super special. It reminded me a lot of asian-style vegan food you can get back in the states. The menu had some English on it, but it was a bit of a guessing game when it came to ordering. Normally I find that kind of fun as long as I know the restaurant is completely vegan, but where Chien Fu isn’t it was a bit of a concern. The server either didn’t understand much English or wasn’t interested in going out of her way to explain options, which either way is understandable. Still the sum experience will mean I’ll probably not return here next time around.

I LOVETHISPLACE. And from what I’ve heard, other people do too! It’s in a nice location, on the second floor, and has a ton of food options. So far we’ve tried 6 menu items(2 appetizers), loved them all, and can’t wait to go back for more! Everything is vegetarian, and there is a lot of fake meat involved, which makes the experience even more delicious and rare for Japan! Update: I’ve tried even more options since I’ve posted this and have been back multiple times! We’ve loved everything we have ordered, and even our non-vegetarian friends were pleased! There’s still so much to try, too! But it’s not just the food that keeps us coming back, it’s also the extremely welcoming(assumed) owner! He’s such a nice guy and obviously loves his business.
