I’m an American… lived in the states until I was 34, however, I never ate at Bubba Gump in the states. The«chain» is in larger cities and if I was visiting a city, I always tried to eat local. But hey, I live here(near Tokyo) and sometimes I miss the American feel. So yes, I frequent chains more than I did when I lived in the states. This spot is in my top 10 chains in Tokyo. Bubba Gump has yummy American style seafood and the environment transports you back to the South with the food and memorabilia. Score! There are two locations in Tokyo: LaLa Port(this review) and Tokyo Dome City. They are both large restaurants, hosting a shop as well. The menu is extensive… Appetizers range from shrimp buckets to Cajun chicken. The clam chowder tastes just like«home.» I ordered stuffed shrimp, which were absolutely delicious. My boyfriend, allergic to seafood, still had plenty to choose from(ribs, chicken). Service was great… Typical of Bubba Gump, guests flip the sign on the table from«run» to «stop.» Servers come to your table when your sign asks them to stop. The price was very reasonable. 2500¥ for a bottle of wine; appetizers ranged between 400¥ to 1500¥(bucket). Entrees are 1500¥ to 3500¥ — ish. After lunch or dinner, explore the mall. Kidzania is next to the restaurant(if you brought kiddos). There is also a spa that a friend of mine recommends. Francfrancfranc is on floor 2!(Love that place). Run Forest, run! to Bubba Gump if you want an American style seafood chain in Tokyo.
