An interesting concept of dining experience where the emphasis is on“dashi”. This is where my mom has been wanting to try, so here we are. I tried to make reservation, but they won’t accept it. You’ll have to stand in line as it is first come first serve basis. Bummer. We were told that the waiting time could be about 30 minutes. On this Sunday evening, our waiting time was about 15 minutes. The course menu comes with one soup, three small dishes, and rice(think risotto) cooked with their signature dashi. Usually, you will have two options of traditional dashi and non-traditional dashi. Traditional one is based on bonito and non-traditional layers in western broth on top of the traditional bonito. On this night, the traditional was already sold out so we opted for non-traditional. But it was a-mazingly yummy. Though I’m curious to go back one day to try the traditional risotto, I’m totally okay with the non-traditional risotto I had tonight. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s visiting Tokyo who can appreciate the simple yet authentic Japanese cuisine. I am a big time fan of this place! Side note: We dined here after watching a movie at Toho Cinemas located within the same shopping complex called«Nihonbashi Coredo Muromachi 2 日本橋コレド室町2». Super convenient location!
