Caffe Filermo

A super friendly wine bar, whose owner tends to patrons like they are family! Rafael is a genuine kind soul, who loves his customers and treats them like guests in his home. Our first night in Venice was amazing, and Rafael was a huge part of it. An intimate experience with a great soul who really exemplifies hospitality. Great prices and generous pours! A definite stop when you’re in Venice and you want drinks.

I was looking for a quick place to have coffee and a pastry for breakfast, so I had an americano and crossaint with crème here. Both were good, but above all that, I had great conversations with the store owner. She was soo friendly, spoke excellent English, and even gave recommendations for a restaurant nearby. Very welcoming and nice towards tourists, which could be hard to come across in Venice.

After a long day of exploring Venice, we finally landed in café Filmero. We had this on our list from recommendations on tripadvisor. We are not surprised with the number of positive reviews at all. Rafael is a great host and turned our visit to the café into a life long memory. Definitely visit the café if you are in Venice! Great lil café with unimaginable service.

I loved this little Café. It’s right off a main path in Venezia, so it’s a perfect little pit stop/​bathroom break/​resting stop! A cappuccino and hot chocolate to warm us up, double plus! Nice lady and cute little serving cups, my hot chocolate (which btw, hot chocolates in Italy tastes like melted chocolate, no liquid, period) was fantastic. Hubs said his cap was equally fantastic. We loved just sitting, people watching the passerbys, and relaxing! Ps — No sitting fee!

Needed a place to sit down and wait out a little rain shower in Venice and though it’s a very small place the guy running the place was awesome! Very friendly and interested in where we were from. Coffee and music was playing was on point with my mood.
