We arrived in Venice around noon and by the time we checked in and got ready to leave again, it was late and I was starving. Although I try very hard to avoid restaurants in the middle of a piazza for food, I was waaay too hungry at almost 4pm to be picky. So sit down we did next to billboards of menu filled with every single stereotypical Italian dish you can imagine catering to all tourist groups and ordered. The service was not very good, and when we asked for the internet password, we were told to wait and the guy never came back. At least we got our order in for food. I got a spaghetti alle vongole(clams) and the boyfriend went with his pizza — pretty standard fare. I actually quite enjoyed my pasta but the pizza was just kinda meh. We ate outside in the piazza under the sun, which made everything worthwhile. With a bottle of beer and a bottle of water(like most restaurants squeezing every penny from tourists, this place refused us tap water), the bill came out to be 28.60EUR. Since we are quite used to London and Paris prices, it wasn’t too bad I suppose.
