The name does not lie. It is like some sort of renovated palace. There are huge rooms, high ceilings, chandeliers, marble floors and fancy furniture everywhere.
It is in a great location in Trieste, right on the water front and 2 mins walk from the main square and the canal. The staff are really friendly and eager to you help with anything you ask. Breakfast was good and included in the room rate.
If I was going back to Trieste I would definitely stay here again. It’s a bit like going back in time, but not in a dated way. It’s fully modern, but embraces the elegance of it’s older attributes.
