Pizza was amazing. Antipasto plate was incredible. Service was nice. We finished with limoncello that was perfect. I would definitely go back.

Came here out sheer desperation for food. We vowed to not eat at any piazza restaurants because most of them are overpriced tourist traps with bad food. However, we were starving with few places left open at an odd hour so we didn’t have much of a choice. The food was alright, I had gnocchi with pomodoro sauce and mozzarella which was pretty tasty and my husband had pizza margherita which was average. It was overpriced and the service was far from friendly.

Because we had such a great dinner at Aurora Light two evenings before, we decided to try this other one close by… boy, did we make a great decision. The place was packed, me and a friend were seated next to the door… not loving the location we asked to be moved to a different table, they were cool about it… no problems. Once seated, we ordered glasses of prosecco and water and our meals: a mussels app, ravioli and gnocchi. Everything was amazing. You can tell it’s a family run place, you can see little kids saying hey to their grandmother who’s seating people. PS: The restrooms are downstairs and they’re very clean and nice.

Just as good as dafranco, only issue was that the pizza was a little watery because it came directly out of the oven and I think the mushrooms might have been canned. One the pizza cooled down it was delish, and I finished the whole thing(it was huge). Reasonable price and nicer atmosphere than dafranco(middle of town circle and have own table with nice ceiling fan going outside). Would highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant in Sorrento, just a quick walk from our hotel and a beautiful view towards the water. Don’t let me forget about the pizza, but it was delicious! We ordered a couple margarita pizzas to taste a traditional pie and everything was baked to perfection. The sauce, cheese and pizza dough were amazing. I wanted to savor every bite slowly, but it was resistible! :)

We stopped in here for lunch on our way back to ship after visiting Pompei. Aurora is one of the restaurants recommended by Celebrity Cruises, and the(local) tour guide also recommended it, for its authentic pizza. We found the service helpful, prompt and courteous. The waiter understood English well. We ordered a salad caprese to share(one was enough for two people). The cheese was wonderfully fresh, moist and tasty, and the tomatoes delicious. We then had a pizza margerita and fettucine bolognese. Again, both were superb. These are simple dishes, and both were done to perfection. Again, the cheese was the highlight. A slice of cake(the one recommended by the waiter) rounded off the meal nicely. There was a tour party inside when we arrived and a number of other diners outside, but this didn’t result in any undue delays for us. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised, given the restaurant’s location and the Celebrity endorsement(which had made me suspicious!), that this is in fact a perfectly nice spot to call into.

Huge menu of different types of pizza with very thick crust. Friendly, helpful servers(in fact TONS of waiters walking around constantly, like feeling like they’re right behind you over your shoulder.) Outdoor seating on one of the corners of Piazza Tasso. This would be four star pizza in the US but in Italy where there’s pizza on every corner it’s just three.

I wasn’t overly impressed with Pizzeria Aurora. My wife and I came here in September ’14 on our visit to Italy and our few days in Sorrento. I ordered a calzone, while my wife had a gluten-free pizza. The food was decent, but didn’t leave a lasting impression on either of us. The service was just«eh»; again, nothing overwhelming. The location is probably the biggest asset, as it is right in the town center. There aren’t too many restaurant options in Sorrento, but this place doesn’t really stand out.

A group of 10 went and we were seated right away! The service was great and they were comical. One waiter even tried to sit down with us. I didn’t see the full menu but I noticed that they have an English and Italian menu. They have a wide range of pizza and it is all served Neopolitan style(thick crust). My pizza was fabulous! When it doubt order pizza, it is always delicious! We also received a bonus bottle of wine for free.(The waiter forgot to add in the second bottle) it was thoroughly enjoyed by our group which made paying a little easier. The bill wasn’t too expensive for 10 people so it is a good place for families or big groups. The restaurant was filled with mostly groups so don’t hesitate to bring a big group without a reservation! Enjoy!
