Castello di Casole

Perfection! Perfect spa, perfect rooms in amazing area. Only criticism is the food, the cook might up his game a little bit.

A recently renovated hilltop castle, now a hotel, CdC is a fine choice when staying in Tuscany. Despite being reasonably priced, the property is well-​kept and the service is excellent. We were one of the few guests there at the end of March but they said it picks up into the summer.
We had an enormous room complete with views of the Tuscan countryside, a huge cozy bed, and a luxurious giant bathroom. The hotel has two restaurants that serve breakfast buffets and casual or more formal dinners. The concierge helped us plan a driver and visits to some vineyards. They also arranged transportation for us coming and going from the hotel. Yes, renting a car and driving yourself is probably a better option, but then you can’t taste so much wine ;)
For those of us who aren’t fortunate enough to own a Tuscan villa, this is a good second choice.
