In order to get inside, Be patient because there is high security and the lines are really long. The Vatican is open until 1pm only. Ive seen movies and I’ve heard of how beautiful this place is. Enjoy the pictures folks.

My wife and I began our honeymoon in October 2012 with a few days in Rome(before boarding a cruise ship in Civitavecchia) and, while I have been to(and stayed in) Rome once before(also before leaving on a cruise), I did not consider myself familiar with its accommodations. In short, this place was probably one of the best things of our entire trip(not only Rome). The room: My wife’s opinion was that the bed was probably a bit firmer than most North Americans would like but I personally loved it. It’s also important to remember that the sizes of beds in Europe are very different from those in North America. However, most places have adapted by combining two beds into one. Therefore, our«queen/king» consisted of two twin beds pushed together. — room is large and spacious — tiled floor, which kept us cool even though it was still warm during that time of year — window opened outwards above the street — bathroom(with shower) was a perfect size, although I recall the toilet being very loud and noisy when flushed The service: — This is what sold us, hands down, as I don’t think it could have been beaten anywhere else in Rome. One example was breakfast, which was delivered promptly every morning by our hosts and with big smiles. While it was not what we are used to in North America, was plentiful and delicious just the same. Another example had to do with language. My wife is Italian-Canadian and, since her accent is Calabresian(from southern Italy), our hosts seemed charmed by her attempts to communicate and responded in kind. All in all, Vatican Town is an absolute GEM of a place and we will definitely consider this place seriously when we next return to Rome.
