This pleasant, local theatre in Monteverde was under threat of closure a few years ago, but the artistic director has done a great job in the last couple of years to create a real buzz about the place. I’ve only seen a couple of shows here, but I’m always pleasantly taken with the level of professionalism, the use of multi-media and the quality of the performances. Punctuality isn’t their best quality but still better than a lot of music venues in Rome.(Actually, it’s probably more the public’s fault than the theatre’s). There are often special offers available for the tickets so look out for those(hint: subscribe to the theatre’s newsletter). To sum up, theatre isn’t dead, and there’s still a lively public seeking to be entertained.
