This pleasant, local theatre in Monteverde was under threat of closure a few years ago, but the artistic director has done a great job in the last couple of years to create a real buzz about the place.
I’ve only seen a couple of shows here, but I’m always pleasantly taken with the level of professionalism, the use of multi-media and the quality of the performances.
Punctuality isn’t their best quality but still better than a lot of music venues in Rome. (Actually, it’s probably more the public’s fault than the theatre’s).
There are often special offers available for the tickets so look out for those (hint: subscribe to the theatre’s newsletter). To sum up, theatre isn’t dead, and there’s still a lively public seeking to be entertained.
