A nice break from pasta and pizza. Great food and outdoor seating. Menu in italian only but server more than happy to translate. Swordfish/salmon burger was awesome. So was the chicken salad. Great cocktails too.

We were trying to go to another place that happened to be close but luckily passed by this gem on our walk. Lots of locals eating outside with their families enjoying the nice weather. Wifi! Bathrooms are downstairs. Yummy food and chill place to rest your feet. There are lots of bookshelf around the restaurant. I saw someone just sitting in. The corner drinking wine and reading a book. We were the only ones at the restaurant on our phones, perhaps people from the states have lost the art of enjoying a family meal in favor of watching silky animal videos. Everything here was pretty good but a bit on the pricier side. Octopus salad was my favorite– refreshing and includes cubes of potato. I also liked the chicken cannelonni — pureed beans with two pieces of juicy and tender chicken.

What a surprise find for us, on our last night in Roma, off the tourist track. Exquisite, delicately prepared small plates rounded out with many complimentary chef offerings. Adriatic, creative flair. Artfully done throughout, from the food to the romantic ambiance. Even loved the bathrooms, with fine wine bottles on the shelves, and a double pump sink. Would highly recommend.

Settembrini is a phenomenal place off the grid of your tourist map. This place is not like your typical Roman fare by any means(which I found to be a good thing). The staff struggled with English, but they were very friendly and accommodating(they even printed us a menu in English as soon as we were seated). We received a few looks from other patrons when we walked in and we were clearly the only Americans there, but I could care less. Settembrini is very upscale/modern and the restaurant is gorgeous(they have outdoor seating too). They brought a complementary apéritif, which was the best champagne I’ve ever had. We did the chef’s tasting course and it was mind blowing. Some of the highlights were raw sea bass w/chopped fruit and a sea urchin gelato, rigatoni w/anchovies & caramelized onions in a buffalata sauce, and seared duck w/a carrot purée — Just to name a few. Do yourself a favor, be adventurous(for once in your life) and go here; when in Rome…

Settembrini serves amazing modern Italian fare. This is a great place for a romantic and unique dinner – you won’t find these dishes in your traditional Roman restaurants. One of my favorites was the cuttlefish ravioli. There was a friendly and very professional sommelier who brought us wine and complimentary champagne. Besides the dishes we ordered, the chef made us several small dishes of his own volition, perhaps tasty experiments that he wanted to share with customers. I’m glad that he did. The interior design of this restaurant is impeccable and deserves to be featured in Wallpaper, if it hasn’t already. Definitely one of the high points of my visit to Rome.
