Stumbled across this place as we were trying to avoid the tourist traps right on the Campo di Fiore. So glad we did! Traditional food that tastes delicious and is very well priced. Fantastic long afternoon lunch with wine, antipasti, pasta, dessert and grappa. What could be better?

Delicious food one half block west of Largo Torre Argentina, about 2 blocks east of Campo de Fiori. Our vegetarian family of 5(with 3 teenagers) ate lunch there on a Tuesday(tried to go on a Sunday but was closed) at the recommendation of our hotel staff. This is the real deal. We had pesto(clearly real and not cut with spinach to save money, and even better than what I make at home with garden basil), pasta al limone, a pizza margherita with buffala mozzarella, and a quattro formaggio pizza. All were excellent! Insalata mista was fresh and crunchy with olive oil and balsamic dressing you do yourself. Fruit for dessert was so tasty. My daughter said it was the first time she had eaten a cherry that actually tasted like cherry. My two children with nut allergies were kept informed of what was safe to order as the waiter and(owner? Manager?) both spoke enough English to communicate about it. Local wine was tasty and only € 4 per glass. Most entrees were around € 8 – 12. Desserts € 6 or so.
