Recommended by our Rick Steves’ tour guide, though not really the kind of place I’d normally choose. We walked over from the Vatican. Great service, ok food. As you walk in, there’s a small shop selling deli-type food. But there’s also a semi-upscale sit down restaurant. Our waiter was very excited to introduce us to their food, and brought several appetizer platters – in fact, too many! Most of us also ordered meals and ended up not touching a couple of the platters he brought. So of his own volition, he took them off our bill. This is the type of service that one should really expect, but not generally the kind one usually receives.

Food was good but not the best we’ve had while in Rome. Service was very pleasant. They are open all day which is nice as many restaurants close in the afternoon and don’t open until 7 or later.

I love this place. We were cruising around the area and then just wandered in one day because the architecture caught our eyes. They have a really great counter where you can order a multitude of items and then eat them at the tables. We had the pizzas on one occasion and then did lunch in the restaurant on another occasion. They waitstaff is very friendly, even to foreigners like us. I highly recommend the pizzas. Get small slices so you can try them all. They will cut them to the exact size you wish to have. The crust is light and crispy and they are generous with the toppings. I also like that they don’t overdo the cheese. For lunch, I had a lamb dish. I wasn’t blown away, but it was solid, nonetheless. We decided that we actually liked eating pizza in the deli area more than doing the lunch.

Excellent pizza and friendly staff. Really liked the fact that u could sample different pizzas and select the size of each price u would like. Service was great as well. We are in the bakery section. You cannot get pizza in the restaurant.

Yummy yummy yum! We came here for a long lunch since we’d been recommended Romeo by a friend. Upon walking in I was drawn to the pizzas on display in the deli, so we ordered 4 slices as an appetizer which they were nice enough to accommodate. My boyfriend got the cheeseburger and I got the salted cod. Both were really fresh and tender. My only gripe is they were a bit cheap when it came to the potato chips for the burger — there were only 3 or 4? There should have been at least 6⁄7 chips and a pickle, in my opinion. Also there were tons of people working in a corner with tons of documents everywhere and a commercial printer on one of the tables. Kind of strange to be seated across from an Epson printer — my boyfriend told me they were probably wine producers taking orders from the restaurant. The décor is a bit overdone as well, tubes of lighting everywhere and Starbucks-esque muted color stamped canvas flat padded cushions on the walls. I think it could stand to be more minimal with the décor as in 5 years(if they’re still around) everything will look super dated.

Overdone attitude for what it is. Food was okay, not at all amazing. Servers were very nice, hostess must have been having a rotten night, because she was dripping with contempt for having no reservations. A bit much considering the actual concept!
