More generic Italian than the Olive Garden. Quite impressively terrible… Or terribly unimpressive. Or both.
You can do one of their prix fixe courses with water, a glass of wine, dessert, and bread to go with your first course and second course. And it’s hella cheap. I get it. It’s hella cheap for being hella mediocre.
Food:
— «Panna cotta” — ⁰⁄₅ if the French had a name for this dessert, it would be «le shit.» I’m not sure how panna was translated from something lovely, light, and balanced to an aerated, flavorless sludge doused in chocolate syrup. Does the Italians utter disfavor. Absolutely disgusting.
— Tonnarelli with bacon, cheese, and tomato– ³⁄₅ the pasta itself is cooked well and has a nice mouth feel. Sauce is so overwhelmingly salty that I couldn’t convince myself to finish it.
— Strozzapreti with bacon and cheese– ²⁄₅ Just generic and flavorless. When i tried my friend’s pasta, I couldn’t make out a single flavor except for pork from the meat. And salty as hell.
— Chicken with peppers and tomato– ³⁄₅ The good news is it’s hard to mess up dark meat. The sauce tastes just like peppers and tomato.
— Pork with mushroom in vegetable sauce– ³⁄₅ Salty as hell, but the vegetable sauce tastes nice otherwise. As the prix fixe menu is very cheap, the meat is just cheap pork stew meat.
Servers are nice, but the food was bad enough that this place cannot recover.

Das Essen war ganz gut, die Preise in Ordnung. Die Platzverhältnisse waren eher eng, da gibt es etwas weiter deutlich gemütlichere Restaurants.
Der Service allerdings war unmöglich. Wir wurden von zig verschiedenen Kellnern bedient, sodass wir zu jedem Gang 3−4mal gefragt wurden ob wir noch was bestellen möchten. Obwohl in unserem Menü ein Glas Wein inklusive war, wurde uns eine teurere Flasche auf den Tisch gestellt, die wir dann bezahlen mussten.

Süßes Restaurant, nette junge Kellner, die Gäste meist Touristen. Wir waren mit Einheimischen da, die uns das Restaurant empfohlen haben, kann also soo schlimm nicht sein! Der Vorspeisenteller war durchschnittlich gut, Käse und Wurst. Die Saltimbocca mit Artischocke war super, die Lammfilets auch. Man muss hier die Beilagen extra dazu bestellen, das haben wohl manche nicht verstanden… siehe alten Kommentar. Und die Pasta amatricana war hammer gut. Der Hauswein rot schmeckte gut. Und die Preise echt human. Kann man also mal hingehen!

Great, authentic Italian food, and the service that the most impressive… especially for Italy. The prices are quite reasonable too. Sit outside the street activity was fun and lively.

The restaurant has a great location and looks very nice and inviting, then again, like your average tourist trap.
The good atmosphere and nice behavior of the staff will disappear immediately once you have made your decision to become a customer and take a seat. You are being treated like cattle in a steak factory.
May God have merci on your soul if you should choose one of their «menus» (meals). My girlfriend and I had Carbonara, chopped lamb and Pana Cotta — accompanied by a white wine. The carbonara was not completely awful. Yet it was absolute grade c quality — I did not expect carbonara in an Italian restaurant in ITALY to be worse than my own. The «lamb» took the cake entirely. It was merely a plate with old salad leaves and roasted lamb bones with some rests of fat and intestines I would not even give to my dog. The pana cotta was about the worst I have ever had. I once bought packed Pana Cotta in a discount store and ate it 1 week to late — and still had a better meal than this one.
Did I mention the grade f Château d’headache /​antifreeze blend wine?
All in all, avoid this nightmare under any circumstance. In fact, wear garlic if you pass by.

Der Laden sieht aus wie eine Touristenfalle — und viele Gäste waren wohl auch Touristen. Sehr gedrängt, das Personal hatte Mühe, sich durchzukämpfen — hat das aber mit großer Professionalität gemacht.
Die Preise sahen aus wie Lockangebote: Dreigängiges Menü um 13 («Romano») oder 15 («Pesce») — da glaubt man ja nicht, dass man etwas Vernünftiges zu Essen bekommt. Irrtum: Es waren ausreichende Portionen von durchaus wohlschmeckendem Essen, inklusive Wein, Bier oder Limo (okay: alles Massenware, aber das ist wohl okay) und freundlichem Service.
Dass wir Trinkgeld gegeben haben, war für uns eine Selbstverständlichkeit. Die Leute dort waren es offenbar nicht gewohnt, offenbar glauben viele der Touristen, dass man im Urlaub keine Gefälligk

This is your average tourist trap, complete with tinny speakers belching out some terrible, cliched variation on Italian music for the tourist. The mozzarella that was served seems weeks old; even the imported mozzarella at my local super market is fresher than this! Do they leave the good stuff for the natives? The service was also quite bad. We were served by some young brats (16 – 20) that did not know any English, and were about as charming as my oily old mozzarella.
Avoid — there is too much good food in Rome to bother sitting here.

Typische Touri Bude mit miesem Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Von den angebotenen Speisen gab es z.T. um 19 Uhr nichts mehr und was auf den Tisch kam war minderer Qualität. Mein Lachs hat vermutlich nie Wasser gesehen so trocken war er, die Nachspeise ein Tütenprodukt. Der Service war bemüht die Gäste möglichst schnell wieder los zu werden um Platz zu schaffen. In 5 Tagen Rom mit großem Abstand die schlechteste Wahl um zu essen. Macht einen großen Bogen um den Laden !!
