I really want to like this relatively new gastro-pub on Viale Trastevere in Rome. They have an extremely interesting selection of craft beers on tap which change regularly. The décor is slightly cheesy but the fake girders and railway trappings actually make for a pretty cosy(theme) pub. I went recently for a bite to eat and was a little bit disappointed by the menu. My companion’s chicken salad was tiny. Their sandwiches are really expensive. The best value dining option seems to be the aperitivo — for a couple of euros extra, early evening, you can enjoy a plate of bruschette with your beer, which works out as a very reasonable snack. It gets really busy in the evening so they’ve organised staff to take care of table service, even if you’re just ordering beers. Fairly, this doesn’t make the drinks any more expensive. However, the staff are pretty keen to snatch up your glasses as soon as you’ve finished and there’s a little sense of pressure. The first time I went, I was brought the bill without asking for it. I will be back as the beer is great, but a couple of other aspects could be improved.

Very cool place. They have happy hour with a 1 euro discount. They were serving food and had only the«street food» available. I had a burger and it was the best! Tasty! And then there is the beer. Awesome. I had a couple of IPAs and moved to the next bar. There are 3 beer bars in the area. I’d definitely recommend this place to people who like a good craft. They had 18 on tap when I came.

Very nice selection of Italian craft beers. Bartender spoke some English and was able to give some insight into the different beers when prompted. The chips dusted with cheese were a tasty snack.

My boyfriend and I missed our flight to Barcelona and were pretty down. With 9 hours to kill before the next flight out, we decided to get drunk. Took the train to Trastevere and found this bar on Unilocal. Really cute décor, it totally feels like a train station. Huge selection of beers and the bartender let us try a few so we would be sure of what we wanted. Got 2 types of bruschetta and the octopus salad. So good and so comforting. A great place to chill and I’m sure it’s a lot of fun when it’s crowded. Perfect place for us to relax after a stressful morning. Really nice servers(Italy has its share of assholes in the service industry). Overall, so happy we stumbled upon this place. Definitely recommended.

Best craft beer bar in Rome, period. Obviously a labor of love; so much attention put into the details of this fun and intimate spot. The tap list is beautifully curated and the menu has something for everyone(including a very helpful English version!). So glad we made the trip out, definitely worth it if you are a craft beer lover looking to get your finger on the pulse of what’s new and great in Italy!

Luppolo Station is a great addition to Rome’s beer scene. It has 20 taps, all at good prices for craft beer in Rome – 3 euros for a schooner and 5.5 or 6 euros for an imperial pint. A lot of seating in two large rooms also helps.
