Absolutely fantastic! Best meal I’ve had in Italy. A cozy atmosphere for an authentic friendly experience!

We went in for lunch from a friend’s recommendation. This is a great little mom and pop’s place in Rome off the beaten path. The food is decent, but not the best we had all week. The service was excellent. The owner was very accommodating and gave us a quick and friendly experience. We had the spaghetti and tortellini, which was decent pasta. The bread was a bit stale, but the owner then brought us toasted bread with salt and pepper. It might have been the best olive oil I’ve ever tasted. If you know Luke Gross, USA Rugby National Team player, go there and ask to see his picture. Luke went to La Nuova Capannina when he lived in Rome and when we mentioned his name, the owner quickly showed us his picture and told the story. He then treated us like family for our lunch and it was great to make a new friend in Rome.
